Not a Roosters fan, not a Blue, not a forwards follower but a footy tragic since little. Boyd Cordner was an adornment to what is a not-so-pretty tough game. A warrior for his teams. Pure footballer. Follow me boys-I'll show you the way! 100% whether win, lose or draw. It's a game and he's made the only choice he could. A lot of grace for a big unit. Others could learn from him.

For a Blues player, he was great and played in the true spirit of the game. Never saw him lose his cool at any time and his untimely retirement is a great loss to the game of rugby league. Thanks for all the great memories of your playing days for the Roosters, the Blues and Australia. We from Papua New Guinea wish you all the best and encourage you to still be involved in Rugby League in some capacity.

@9weetbix3 жыл бұрын
Gus is kidding himself if he thinks he’s recovered fully. If that helps you sleep at night big fella. But I think the writing’s on the wall - Cordiner is going to face battles with his health the older he gets. Hence the rule changes.

As a QLD fan since 2006, You’re a better NSW Captain then Gallen when it comes to sportsmanship, And also your SOO series winning record against Gallen in SOO as NSW Captains is way better then Gallen’s but to be fair to Gallen tho he(Gallen) face much much more tougher QLD Maroons competition as in JT, Lockyer, GI, Cameron Smith, Corey Parker, Billy Slater, Petero Civoniceva, Cronk & more, And as a Storm ⛈ fan since 2006 you, Cronk & the six again call cause me a bit of heartache but your Roosters 🐓 deserve to go back to back tho because the Raiders choke(like the trash chokers that they are) in the 2019 NRL grand final, Farewell Boyd✌🏽😎.

I like Boyd even as a Queenslander and was saddened by his retirement. Solid player, great leader and he is a perfect example of how players should behave around the game. But with all due respect I think calling him a legend of the game is a little bit of a stretch. but hey good luck to the bloke wish him all the best and hope he future is prosperous!!

@jasonaus35513 жыл бұрын
He will be remembered as pretty good player who won't be a legend of the game as he didn't have longevity because his body and mind couldn't keep up. Prob the least deserving Australian Captain, which he was a stop gap until Munster was ready anyways
