Tbh, Gus was an idiot for taking the bait, and flying off the rails. However, Jeremiah could have communicated that he was gonna try to smooth things over and restore the peace, but tbh I would be hurt if I tried to soothe things and ended up with my best friend attacking me. It's a shame that communication could have solved this, but both Gus and Jeremiah were too wrapped up in conflict to see it.
