It was fantastic! We try to make as many videos as we can when we travel. So for us to not worry about a video and go back the next day you know it was good! There is a location in Knoxville that we need to try. Definitely some of the best fried chicken we have ever eaten. Happy New Year!

We can not say enough good things about this place. When we travel we usually have a list of possible restaurant reviews for videos. Gus's was so good that we went twice! We didn't worry about an extra video or trying a different place. lol Definitely some of the best chicken and sides we have ever eaten. We want to get to the one in Knoxville too. Absolutely some of the best fried chicken and southern sides we have ever eaten. We have learned that something that looks fancy doesn't make the food good. We love the local hole in the wall places. hmmm, i have to say, that chicken looks like the skin and breading is dry, but as long as you like it, thats all that matters. i like when the skin and breading is fluffy with some crispiness where you cant see the meat underneath… but the dark meat looks way better.

This chicken was some of the best that I have ever had. In fact it has been on the food network on some of their shows including The Best Thing I Ever Ate on their fried chicken edition. It's the spiciness that we enjoyed but it wasn't so spicy that David and Carly couldn't enjoy it. We actually went twice there while in Memphis. Which is unusual for us because we like to try to get as many as videos when we travel. There are other locations that hopefully we will get to at some point.

I was looking forward to trying this chicken that ive heard so many wonderful things about but now we'll never be able to try as its cooked in peanut oil and some of us have severe p nut allergies to the point it could kill us sorry to hear this now we'll never know

Everything looked fantastic! Fried Chicken is my favorite, but we have no chicken restaurants in our mountain town, other than KFC & Popeyes. I'm nowhere near Memphis, but when you said 30 locations, I Googled and found there IS a Gus' about 2 hours away. Definitely going to make that trip! 🍗 Great video! Y'all have a Happy New Year! 😊

You are right! It would be this much or more at KFC. This was the special. In fact they had the 2 breast special with two sides each day we went for $11.00. The second day we went they also had a 4 legs special with 2 sides for $11.00. So we just ordered 2 meals and split it between the 3 of us. David and Carly both love legs. Then we ordered dessert that day. We got sweet potato pie with ice cream. The waitress was so nice and treated us to pecan pie too. Such a good experience here.

Hit the place 5 years ago and was a great experience- Just be aware of the sketchy location and park close by - 3 huge heavily armed rent a cops staged out front

Only tourist think this chicken is good. Locals don't like it. I've given it about 6 tries and the last 3 was only because I was Ubering downtown and wanted something to eat ,but it's some dry chicken and seems like it's redipped after it's been sitting up a while.
