It was banned to wear any tartan by the time it was over ruled it had become common not to wear it. hence why most scots no longer wear tradional dress like we used too. My mom and dad spent a summer in Inverness in the late 90's. They loved it and apparently were quite well received. They went to some event and a large ensemble type band played the American national anthem. My folks were confused until someone explained they played it just for them. They told that story up until their deaths. So a big thank you to the people of Scotland for making such a wonderful experience for two beautiful people.

The Jan 6 riot occurred in this span of time in response to the election results. The first Presidential election to be held after the Jan 6, 2021 riot would occur in 2024. Faced with a political establishment did appeared to be not interested in listening let alone helping,voters turned to populist alternatives on the right and the left. Demonize a huge swathe of the population all you want,and supporters of both sides were guilty of that,but you cannot expect them to turn out for you when election day comes round again. Until the 2020 election drew near I was sceptical that they would do it,but with a little help from the handling of the Coronavirus pandemic the Democrats learned from their mistakes in 2016 sufficienty to galavanise and mobilise those who wanted Trump removed to come to the ballot box to do so. I do agree,though,that to encourage the storming of the Capitol on the basis a wholly false premise was the most serious attack on the country's democratic institutions seen in a lifetime. I don't think the voters will forgive that in a hurry when it comes down to it,regardless of their grievances.

I've been to Poland for a few days, it was great! now my uncle, he lived there teaching Spanish and French (he's Scottish but a language teacher), and he speaks fluent Polish and travels there regularly for about 20+ years. His polish god son even came to study in Glasgow lol and we've had them stay even at our house a few times, it's great. I hear lots of stories from Poland, he loves that Polish weddings last so long and I'm always jealous cause I want to go to one next time lol. @@stronkserbia444 Very true...especially where this was filmed. Theres a 'needle exchange' at the foot of the castle. The SNP performance on helping the drug problems is utterly disgraceful. Meth and needles handed out under 'harm reduction', and hardly any proper rehab funding. Then theres a big headline for minimum pricing for alcohol, meaning people who used to be able to afford a bottle of wine as a treat now cant afford it while rich alchies carry on swigging away. That said, Edinburgh is extremely beautiful. It's a fantastic city for lots of reasons...you just have to avoid the anti English brigade as much as possible if you live here. You wont have problems as a tourist here though, and fortunately there are enough lovely Scots to offset the others.
