19:27 I feel that if any veterans were to come back from NASB1, it should be CatDog, Oblina and Lincoln Loud. I get that Lincoln isn't the most popular gameplay-wise, but to not have the main character of the second most popular currently running show on Nickelodeon feels like a massive oversight. There's plenty they could do for a moveset rework as well by leaning more into his interests of Ace Savvy, Agent Steele and doing novelty magic tricks.

I think Sandy, Toph, Leonardo and Michelangelo should also return. The fact that the first NASB had only one half of the Ninja Turtles and the sequel had the other half is just baffling. And also, Avatar characters appeared in 3 platform fighters (NASB1, Brawlhalla and NASB2), meaning there could have been a character to represent each of the 4 elements in one match, but each game only had representatives for 3 elements. It may be my OCD talking, but that's super frustrating.

I disagree with the assertion that a series must be represented by their main character. There are some series where that makes sense. Lincoln is such a nothing character from a show dominated with characters with actual personalities (even if many of them are rather one-note.) Nigel and Reptar are also far more interesting additions than Tommy or Eliza ever could be. Timmy's also one I can absolutely see skipping, because most of his moveset potential is virtue of Cosmo and Wanda, and you could easily cut out the middle man and have the actual Fairly Oddparents in the game.

@@benjamingesinski9170 My one issue with having all the Ninja Turtles in one game is that I wish they swapped out the 1987 designs for the 2012 and/or Rise ones, in order to make them more visually distinguishable from one another.

@@TheNerdIncarnate I somewhat agree with that notion in the case of Eliza and Arnold. However, I think it's disingenuous to say that Lincoln is a "nothing" character. While he is an everyman, he still has strong defining personality traits that I feel could be drawn upon to make for an interesting fighter design. But even still, I think The Loud House is poorly represented in NASB2 and deserves at least a new secondary rep to remedy it.

@@TheNerdIncarnate I agree with everything you said, except the part about Timmy. The way I see it, Cosmo ans Wanda don't really act on their own and rely on Timmy to wish for what to happen, so that could be the basis of his moveset. Plus, I imagine having one body with Timmy would make less ambiguous on who to hit, rather than having 2 floating bodies with Cosmo and Wanda.

If there's ever a NASB3, I honestly wouldn't mind if it was basically NASB2 with more content. In fact if they do go down that route, then they could pull a Smash Ultimate and bring back every character from the first and second games, with some new characters thrown in. If that were to happen, then maybe the game would be a big success.

I think that's the best course of action. The core gameplay has been near perfected. But I wouldn't count on this series continuing.

Yeah, thankfully most of them are cosmetic at this point in my experience.

I personally feel the roster is 1 step forward and two steps back. Especially the DLC. Miko Kutoba would have been incredible as a character that literally stops video game glitches. I hope a NASB3 happens.

If it does, I hope we see the characters from the first one return. And that they include characters from Nick sitcoms.

I think there were a number of weird choices but at the end of the day, I think the sequel has a much better lineup of characters for representing both eras of Nickelodeon's most iconic shows; with a better balance of 90s vs. 2000s. If we got everyone back, then the game would have suffered in the gameplay department. The DLC absolutely was a mixed bag, and with a few more months I imagine another 4~6 characters could've been added, but the team did what they could.

I just want say this : I think this roster was great for what it is.... But i do have one criticism Lack of pixar representation I think its bs that basically every Disney platform fighter roster always gives Pixar the end of the stick personally i wouldve cut 4 characters to replace them with Pixar Characters although i dont know whod id cut but heres whod id pick Mater - ( Cars ) you had him as a background cameo, and Nasb2 did the same thing with Mr. Krabs get him in there.
