Is it true that Siemens made a software to program these controllers paid? Meaning - i buy the controller and then i buy the software to use this controller? Or am I missing something here? Just trying to decide which brand of controllers to take upon, developing PCL programmer skills.

Siemens logo software is 50GBP and almost the only one with paid software from microcontroller families. I like all microcontrollers they all do the same thing and the only thing that separates them is the software. Often it comes down to preference.

Hello, I've been enjoying the videos on Siemens LOGO! Logic Modules. Can the output relays on the LOGO! module handle AC power supply? I want to switch a 110 VAC lamp ON/OFF. Can I connect the + and - from the lamp to the Q1 output relay? I do not want to break my device so I haven't tried it yet, but I couldn't find information anywhere else online. Thanks!

Hi There. Glad you enjoy the videos. All LOGO relays by standard are able to work with up to 240V 8 amps. Make sure under the screen it say relay not transistor outputs and you good to go.

@@IGSElectronics Another question actually :) - Are those busbars at 2:05? I need a way to have a power line with multiple connections to it to power assorted devices. Basically a common power supply node I can attach cables to. Is a busbar what I am looking for?

Power on your PLC and go to Setup>Factory reset. it is almost at the bottom

@@Alex51377 Ich werde demnächst ein Video von dem Vorgang machen. Ich glaube, der Übergang zwischen älterem Logo und Logo 8 ist einfach und erfordert nicht viel Programmierung. Sie benötigen ein altes Programm von Logo 6 und wenn Sie davon lauten müssen, benötigen Sie dazu das USB-Kabel.
