Most artiste/ musicians believe that the moment they record and release a song,they automatically gets royalties. If the record does not sell or have heavy radio play ,then there is no money. Its the same with stage shows,people think its a long service award.Its demand and supply system.

Yes Teach, usually the songwriters have a demo tape of a song. Sometimes a songwriter will hear a track/music first and then write lyrics to it.
