Simple, yet beautiful. Your melody is so memorable (I was singing it in my head the whole day after first experience). Strings has successfully added a lot of depth to your track (my only suggestion is that it would be better in some timestamps if your strings part weren't *exactly* covering piano patch. I know that it's made for a kind of motif articulation, but that parallel doubling consume a bit of depth) Visuals are unique and fits well. I loved the part with coloured clouds. This composition is among the better ones on YT

Hi Mike. I don't understand your first question. As for the 2nd and 3rd ones: It does not have speakers, it's only heard on the computer.
@mikekymber70675 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for answering my friend! As for the first question, I mean, if you can record what you play with an internal microphone of the keyboard, without having to connect an ambient microphone to capture the sound, that is to record the audio in midi format

Hello! I think I might have some tips for you if you want to grow as a composer/pianist. You should try experimenting with different key signatures other than C-major (As I can see, both of your compositions are in c-major.). If you're trying to achieve a "sad-sounding" piece, try playing in a minor key. I also recommend listening to many different composers, because I see you take a huge inspiration from Ludovico Einaudi. If you listen to some of the greats, you'll see that they all take inspiration from many other composers, and it's always good to hear/play different styles of playing. Another thing I can see is that you usually have a repeating left hand pattern (which is fine, but you should maybe change it up at a climax or something). ONE MORE THING, which is super important, is that I think you should study music theory, as you'll learn a lot from it (which you can incorporate into your compositions). Also I assume from your about page that you're self taught? Being self taught is perfectly fine, but having a teacher will help you learn quicker and they'll make sure you don't develop bad playing habits. Hope you have a great day, and good luck on your journey as a composer/musician!
@GustavAstep5 жыл бұрын
Henry Writer Hi Henry. Thanks for your opinion and thoughts on my compositions. I agree with you. My music theorie knowledge is very limited. I plan to learn more music theorie soon and my upcoming compositions will be different to my previous ones. I hope to grow into the composer I want to be in the upcoming years. Thanks for your analysis and greetings from Zurich! :)

Gustav Astep Though I agree with Henry I would like to add that as a beginner on piano I’m really happy with the C major!
@sebastianreinfeld19125 жыл бұрын
I don't mean to be a smartass but according to the sad mood of the piece it's in a minor.
@henrywriter55584 жыл бұрын
@@sebastianreinfeld1912 I re-watched some of the video and it does seem that he is in fact playing a lot of A minor and D minor chords. What really matters is and what I was trying to get at was that he should learn and study more music theory. Sorry for the 1 year late reply, haha.
