F***, I turn 35 this summer. This piece always brings tears to my eyes. It’s a masterpiece, and Gustavo Santaolalla is an incredibly talented composer. It haunts you with past memories, regrets, unfulfilled promises, and broken dreams. It reminds you that the meaning of life is simply to be alive. Here's to days gone by. Greetings from the Scottish Eastern Highlands.

Im from the balkans and I have the same daydreams... I just want to have them around, they filled the place with calm and dignity by saying nothing but showing everything about life. And I remember the days and nights, the smell of huge pear trees, ripening....full night skies ...and my family sitting Infront of the house on the ground with a little light over their head eating watermelons at late evening. I thought as a child this is magic it couldn't be better and it wouldn't.

This musical piece delves into the profound depths of my insurmountable anguish and shattered aspirations. It artfully encapsulates the overwhelming burden of accumulated losses, the agony of enduring exile, solitude, oppression, and irreparable wounds. This tune finds you alone, pondering, seeing things as they are, recollecting yourself, finding the fire within for the final battle. Reminiscing times with the ones you loved, moments they laughed, their distant voices in your ears, their smell through the air, their touch through your skin, and committing yourself you'll be at the gate, where they promised to meet you. Go hard. Go the hardest this time! Know you're going to be bruised and abused. Do not hold back! Write it as your promised yourself. Write it as they wished for you. Don't give up! The war is not over yet.
