Amtrak GE P32-8BWH #511 was pulling an Amtrak auto train when it suddenly encountered a backhoe and derailed. Now Amtrak #511 still holds up but has massive damage to its front. Now it requires major repairs after the Backhoe shock incident.

The second Amtrak Auto-Train travelling over the BNSF tracks, Derails after hitting an excavator on the crossing, Causing the excavator to explode and burn into flames, Making it an explosive and fiery train disaster. The excavator driver and several passengers died in this accident, Including almost all passengers sent to the hospital (by ambulances), Including 100-200 people injured. Later, The excavator and all three engines were damaged beyond repair, As well as deeming a total loss.

The Amtrak was connecting the routes between Utah and north Carolina but up ahead in Tennessee a excavator witch had a horrible wheel so once it hit the crossing the wheel fell off. the engineer set the emergency brakes but it was too late. the excavator went under Amtrak 511s wheels causing it to derail at high speed. number 511 and number 1 had the damage so bad that it looked as if they were corroding. number 14 was brutally impacted with a passenger car. 298 people died in the accident making the worst train wreck in America. In the end number 511 and number 1 were repaired but number 14 was beyond repair and scrapped due to the fact that it was brutally impacted with a passenger car.

No, They are now scrapped. The reason for those engines scrapped is due to hitting the excavator on the crossing causing it to explode and burn into flames, Which made all three engines to come off the tracks and they later got scrapped.

The tractor driver died at the scene The Amtrak engineer was seriously injured Third degrees burns as the locomotive burst into flames after the collision.
