Axel Oxenstierna was in the background, planning, mentoring, and implementing a governance of officials. Then exported the concept. Was also instrumental in forming what would be nation states. (The Peace of Westphalia 1648). And then introducing a central bank for each nation. Sweden was first. An ongoing project I guess.

När oljan hittades så fick sverige en förfrågan av Norge om att dela på oljan, men Sverige tackade nej för att dom inte trodde att det fanns så mycket olja.

Actually Sigismund is called Zygmunt III in Poland, but simply Sigismund (the first) in Sweden.

Actually the name of this video should be "barbarians from the north" Because that is a much more accurate description of what they were. Some researchers think around 20 million soldiers and civilians died in this meaningless and barbarian war against Catholic Christians!!!

The difference between Russia and Sweden today is that Sweden has stopped imperialist ambitions while Putin's Russia remains at that stage. I think the Swedish strategy is better and saves human suffering. The Russians will suffer from their actions for generations. Sweden is in 15th place in the world in terms of GDP, while Russia is in 48th place. Conclusion: it is better with international cooperation than the conquest of territories, history shows. Think about it Mr. Putin!

A cope for a losing civilization. Did superpowers disappear when Sweden lost its? USA, China and Russia is now fighting for dominance so war did't end because of Swedens lack of ambitions and because of a weak Sweden swedes is no longer sovereign being told by EU, NATO and America what to do. Being weak does not equal being moral.

This comment is so ignorant (and arrogant), it beggars belief. I don't think the EU has a bright future with the mindless hate in West Europe. If you think that you are so "superior" and "richer" then why aren't you happy?? We don't have superiority complexes in Bulgaria, and I don't think we have anything in common with the hateful West Europeans.

@@julianpetkov8320 What hatred in Western Europe are you referring to? Do you mean the disapproval that Putin entered a neighboring country with military? Personally, I think it is a bad method of resolving conflicts, whether it is done by the West or the East. I had good business relations with the Russians until the war started. The Germans bought gas via pipelines on the bottom of the Baltic Sea, because there was mutual trust and benefit from it. It could have continued like that. I believe both parties to the conflict bear joint responsibility for the situation. Regarding the GDP comparison, it is just cold facts, without the necessary connection to emotions. Bulgaria is in both the EU and NATO, but of course you as an individual can be against that. I assume that the country as a collective has made the assessment that it is needed. Regarding why Western Europe should not be happy, it is perhaps an individual question that cannot be generalized. Incidentally, I believe that the Ukraine war is making us all poorer, with declining GDP.

@julianpetkov8320 Wonder who hates. Just by judging by your comment. I made up my mind. You come here talking about hate. When you are the one hating. But you're probably quite ignorant to see that for yourself.

@@Denzao-D Which part of my second reply did you address? Do you know anything about East Europe, or Europe at all? Your purchased "support" for the "cause" looks kind of out of place. May I suggest that you tell your foreign NGO boss not to push you on European matters.
