What a beautiful little airport. You can't go wrong with eating cookies while swinging on a porch swing. That prayer at the end was wonderful too. As always thanks for bringing us along with you guys and blue skies 👍😁

Doing a lot of my flying in South Texas around Corpus you have to stay proficient in cross wind and gusty wind landings. It's almost the norm there.

I would imagine with the winds off of the Gulf. Hope all is well in Nebraska!!

I am totally confused, you took off and then started doing your flight planning? 9 knot wind isn’t MVFR, but OVC 0012 is.
@Parr4theCourse6 ай бұрын
We took off VFR and we were getting another takeoff/landing in the books along our route. Plan was to stop at any airport close along our direct route to Ruston, LA. we were looking at "possibilities" but some winds were too strong, Weather "initially" at De Queen were reporting "calm" winds, but by the time we got there the winds that were at airport along our route made it to De Queen, so ended up landed with a gusty cross wind anyway. Then we would file an IFR flight plan into Ruston as there was a weather front South of Texarkana. Minden was MVFR and 9knts, we didn’t go there because it was MFVR, Janis was simply calling out winds as well, so we could get a feel for how they were progressing along our route. We didn’t go to Mc Alester as I wanted to get a little closer to Louisiana…. Does that help clarify? Or did I miss your point?
