That's the trade off (and the most common complaint) with this set I suppose, the E string doesn't have much in the way of volume or overall definition, especially when played acousticly. Personally I'm fairly unbothered by this, mostly because I don't really use the E string all that much (opting to use the upper registers for any E related runs, something I've just always done for some reason), but I know that it's something that a lot of people wouldn't like. They do make other sets with beefed up, wrapped E strings that solve these problems, but again, to me it's just not a huge deal.

Having used both, I'd definitely say these. They're more expensive and harder to get but honestly they're well worth it.
