In today's video I interview Clinical Pharmacist Kent MacLeod about building a healthy microbiome. Kent is the Founder and CEO of NutriChem and the author of Biology of the Brain: How Your Gut Microbiome Affects Your Brain. This is Part 1 of a three part series on the Microbiome Health. In this first part, Kent defines the microbiome, microbiome health, how a healthy microbiome improves your energy, and discusses the benefits of a healthy microbiome for your body and your bones.

Excellent! Am starting to ferment my own cabbage today. And have increased the number of strains I take with my probiotics. Hope this helps my bones!

Can't hurt! My mom eats a lot of cabbage and some saur kraut and reversed her osteopeniam she also uses cimohrey ointment on her skin which also helps her joint pains. And she takes pomegranates and moringa herb ..a lot of herbals teas and things like ginger and lemon tea. She doesnt have a regime or anything she just has them when she feels like it. Cabbage is good for her rheumatism as well. Good luck! Stay well!

@@leonieduplessis4467saur kraut has lactobaccillus which helps your gut it also has digestive bitters which helps you bile which helps you be able to digest and absorb nutrients it also has enzymes and suphorohane which help with vascular health and inflamation all of which help your whole body and in turn help your bones as well. It doesnt directly influence your bones but indirectly as a lot of nutrients we absorb rely on our gut bacteria which create things like vitmin k and other nutrients ...saur kraut also has very bioavailable calcium forms as well as magnesium potassium and lots of other things for your whole body to function well.

Hello, what is the best source to get Lactobacillus reuteri? And how much do we need and how often? I have osteopenia and would like to make sure I can add food sources that contain this probiotic. Thanks in advance.

Very interesting!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟 Probiotic foods contain beneficial live microbiota that may further alter one's microbiome!!! These include fermented foods like kefir, yogurt with live active cultures, pickled vegetables, tempeh, kombucha tea, kimchi, miso, and sauerkraut!!!🍀

Don't forget natto!! It has b. subtilis which creates vitmin k2 essential for bone health as well as vascular. And people who have b subtilis in their microbiome have less tooth decay too!
