Gutalac was the farthest barrio of Sindangan when the latter was created a municipality during the Commonwealth era. Imagine mo nalang ilang hours at ilang towns ang nadaanan mo bago ka makarating ng Gutalac from Sindangan. Ganon kalaki ang land area ng Sindangan dati. Gaya lang din ng sinabi mo, madidifferentiate mo ang lumang bayan sa mga bago kasi yung simbahan, munisipyo, at plaza ay magkakaharap lang.
