I think the bass is just high in the mix. So you can hear him louder than you might in other videos. So he's more apparent.

@Marioguitar I remember when I was attending the "Musicians Institute" Guthrie came twice for amazing clinics. Met him. Great fellow and an absolute phenomenon. He mentioned that "Once you have actually played live in Japan,then all the other places pretty much are crap" hahaha. I guess that is why the crowd sounds so appreciative.

NO. The studio version has Seth Govan (guthrie's brother) on bass. He is the bassist in Erotic Cakes. This is Guthrie just jamming with some throw together band in japan with japanese studio musicians.

You sir/madam, have no clue what music is, just because he doesn't sit down bending the same note for a whole concert looking like he's cummed his pants, doesn't mean he plays with no feel/emotion! This may sound shocking, but there are actually notes faster than quavers, and they were created so people could use them funnily enough. Even if the music doesn't spark emotion in you, doesn't mean you can call it un-musical in any way shape or form
