Love Guthrie Govan's piece of music here. Thanks so much for sharing it. Wish I could listen to it all day because it's incredibly relaxing and inspiring:) 🎶

This really cool. Guthrie's solo is a great modern tribute to Carlton. This style is just awesome. I love most of the shredders, Satch ect. But there's something about this jazzy virtuosity that just does it for me.

Chords: Cm7 - Fm9 - Cm7 - Fm9 - Cm7 - Abmaj7 - G7(b10) - Abmaj7 - G7 - Cm7 - Fm7 - Cm7 - G7 Or you can just play simple chords without alterations (numbers) if you're not common with them

G7(b10)???? OMG hahahaha
@JulienBeeCee5 жыл бұрын
b10 is actually more appropriate because in the Key of Cminor you would write that note as a Bb (not an A#) but also this is a really silly argument they sound and function the same way!! and also the first G chord after the Abmaj7 is just a Gmin7, and then the next time it is a G7b9, and the last chord isn't a G7, there is a little walk down diatonically then he hits an Fmin7/Bb
@thiagomassara75395 жыл бұрын
@@JulienBeeCee if its more appropriate or not, really is a theory pov from a book or the way one looks at it. Otherwise he would have write all the 11ths and 9ths in the minor chords as they show up in the voicings.... thing is, why complicate it? The fact he finds this b10 or, in your case, the b9, is simply because there's an "implied" Dm7b5 leading to G7 and then Cmin. Call it G7 and leave it at that... having a b10 is rather confusing.... My opinion of course...
@JulienBeeCee5 жыл бұрын
@@thiagomassara7539 agreed, as i said before none of it really matters and it is a silly thing to argue about. The more important part of my comment was to post the correct chords, because everyone before had missed a few of them

Cm7 | Fm7 | Cm7 | Cm7 Fm7 | Fm7 | Cm7 | Cm7 AbMaj7 | Gm7 | AbMaj7 | G7(b9) Cm7 | Fm7 | Cm7 | (Hits, what I hear: Ab, Gm, Fm, Ab/Bb) Figured this could be useful. I'm not including any 9ths on those minor chords, just the basic harmony. The last bar is purely chords diatonic to Cm (aeolian), but in case anyone was curious.

What chord is G7 (b10)?!? Probably is an error
@lostinaninteger4 жыл бұрын
b10 = #9 = minor third. That's a dominant 7 chord (with a major 3) plus a minor 3 added on top. Famously called "the Jimi Hendrix Chord"--prevalent in jazz blues.
@fabiosellitri74484 жыл бұрын
Jeff thank you, now I’ve known . It’s simply a dominant 7 chord with 9#

@@Shapomark why do you feel offended bro ... I'm just helping you to get it right and it is. In music theory nobody use the term (b10),it is #9. Also in the backing track, it is not a G7#9. Thats a G7(b9) which makes more sense with the minor harmony. Btw sick channel.
