Guthrie's - The Original Chicken Finger Restaurant - Review

I screwed up and went to a Raising Cane's that's closed for a few weeks so we kept going further and landed at Guthrie's in Hartwell, GA. Let's try the original chicken finger restaurant.

I had no idea this was the first. I used to go to the one in "Macedonia" (we never called the area that) for years. It was attached to a gas station. It's better than Zax imo.

when i was living in Athens and going to school there, there was Guthries for chicken fingers like this and that was it. everybody loved the guthries sauce and we all figured out how to make it. a few years later, there was zaxby's doing the same thing.

I didn’t realize Zaxby’s and Cane’s were such new chains from the 90s. These guys really were the OGs

You should try Little Italy in Mauldin. It’s a hole in the wall place but my husband and father in law love it. They recommend the chicken parm sub and meatball sub.

Here in Boise Idaho we are getting this chicken shack and it’s in my neighborhood next to my local McDonalds……I’ve never heard of this restaurant but I’m hoping for great chicken 🍗 🐔 so close to me as I’m checking out your review and I appreciate it! 😊

Hey companies...we do actually eat Tenders up here in the North. Could a couple of you maybe come up here? Although we did just get a Dave's Hot Chicken. It's on a crappy corner though, trying to cross a busy road, for us bus people that is. The bread sounds like the real winner here. Great seeing Bistro again. "I am nothing but real"😂 Hope the time with family was good. I'd watch non-alcoholic.beer reviews. Trying to cut down on calories a bit.

Yall look like yall have better toast. Now don't get me wrong mine has good toast but its just regular white sandwiche bread toasted. But from what I have found online the sauce is ketchup mayonnaises Worcestershire sauce ground pepper and onion powder. I actually make it at home now and i can come pretty close to it. Have not got it perfect tho With leftovers from my saint Patrick's day meal i used left over corned beef to make Rubens and used that instead of thousand Island dressing. It was soo good on it. I am thinking about making a combo of that and thousand Island dressing and see how that works out.

They’re definitely better than zaxbys and cains! The sauces and sweet tea are superb. I drive 40 minutes for them.

Guess I gotta add Guthries to the list to try! Zaxbys is king, canes is solid but its just ok without sauce. Zaxbys is great with or without sauce.

I was actually going to go back to Hardee's and pick up 2 or 3 of the Mushroom Swiss I love. well loved. Farkin thing, for a single, is $7.69. I used to pay $3.49, and last time at $5.49, was barely worth it. I will not pay almost $8 for anything from Hardee's. F that. They're dead to me now.
