Honestly i think that cgi berserk could have worked if #1 it was only cgi, so there's no 2d shots making everything look like the amazing world of gumball and #2 if it was done by a better team, because this team was inexperienced. Particularly 1:28 looked fine

Late reply but the golden age movies look fantastic. The pacing is very strange but if it was done with that production value it wpuld be fine. Berserk just needs some real, genuine love behind its adaptation like the 97 anime. It cut out a lot but it was the only one that really matched the tone of berserk.
