Some people say Griffith has to die at the end. And yeah i agree, but does it have to be a physical death? Griffith above all else, cares about his own image and his "kingdom". Being seen as a good man and a saviour is his goal. So what happens when he loses that? When his subjects turn their backs on him? When no one looks up to him, prey to him, or care about him. Simple, He dies. This in my opinion is the best end we can have. Guts has always relied on his strength and physical power up until this point, and the one time he decided to leave -a mental decision - Griffith had a freaking break down and it led to the eclipse. Imagine what Guts, but 10 times bigger. Griffith or Femto will be no more.

I believe he can turn all his hatred into a fire capable of hurting/killing Femto, since OD is intrinsically linked to human emotions. The only thing he needs to do is learn to channel it physically or through an object, like his armor or his own sword.

i always thinked guts would become something above of apostles, probably merging his body and armor into single one, and eat the apostles to give him more power, and one day to be able to withstand the power of Griffith, creating a new classification for him, he reached his limit, the human limit, now he is beyond what any man and monster stepped on these hellish lands, i can even imaginate he won Griffith with this unbearable power.....but it costed him too much....even though he winned, it would let him even more broken, the skies would fall as the sun arises from the horizon, once he saw the dried dust ground be painted with humid blood, the only sound that can be heard would be the cry of guts, as guts screams for his loved one's name, is this what he wanted? he may winned the war, but the scars and losses was many,leaving his broken heart a wound that will never will be healed, he may stand,doing his best to not fall to the ground as the sunset arrives. He may be the strongest of any kind, but he would be the one who would be the most saddest and lonely person on the top of this pyramid of what we call life.

I have a theory that the berserker armor is gonna absorb the behelit to gain the strength needed to kill Griffith. By doing this it will give the hellhound the demonic influence to take over guts completely and use its true power as well as giving it a extra boost in power from the behelit. This will allow the armor to kill femto, but guts will be saved by the moonlight who will be revealed to be stronger than femto ever was. His power allows him to save guts, and tame the hellhound, making it his pet. But guts will suffer extreme damage and will either A. Die with the moonlight boy being revealed as his son or B live as a disabled man for the rest of his life which will be shortened by the separation of the berserker armor. This will give us a bitter sweet ending with guts, the human who survived everything, dying with a brief Time of peace when he deserves far more. Also, it kinda makes sense for guts to die by the stories end.
