I’m old so I’m more familiar with old emo - ‘85 - ‘87 and late 1990’s. I discovered TMP a month ago. I like the sorta lo-fi production and the way the vocals sound kinda blown out like in a cheap basement demo (that’s a compliment!). When I first heard TMP on someone’s midwest emo mixtape I thought it was a basement demo track by a long defunct band. I was pleasantly surprised they made so many albums. Pretty cool stuff. Very frantic and just about falling apart but extremely tight and intricate. Yeah. I like it. A lot.
