This should be a wake-up call to EVERYONE to get training in CPR. The utter panic in Shawn's voice when he yelled for help because he, "didn't know what to do," broke my heart. This was soooo intense to watch! I felt tears and panic the whole time - camera man saying all the things I was thinking. When Shawn yelled in a plead for him to not die - ugh I felt that! I can't tell you how awesome it is to see a real hero. I know it must have been a scary experience but it is obvious how you pushed through the fear and did what you had to do. As soon as you jumped in the water I could tell that you were ALL in and you were determined to save that gentleman. I am a single father on disability and I don't get inspired very easily or very often but watching this and feeling just a bit of what you were feeling really hit home. You sir are a real hero and I hope that if I ever get into a situation where I need help that someone is nearby that has even a fraction of your heart. Thank you for this, this is what gives me hope. I also say thank you for the gentleman recording it. My thought is that either one of you guys could have been the one that jumped in. Oh and in case no one has told you yet. You would never have known that you didn't know CPR, you looked like a seasoned pro and this man was lucky that you had the courage to even try. Thank you.
