Technically this is EDM as well as EDM (Electronic Dance Music) is an umbrella term for all electronic music genres including house, techno, trance, hardstyle, dnb and so on, so you are just insulting the music you like, but anyways. Please, when you talk about music, use the right terms. What you probably mean is Big Room/Electro House, and insulting anything isn't great either lol

EDM is a generic term mainly for awful modern chart,mainstream,electronic music,like Calvin Harris ......etc....etc. This is true underground,quality, progressive house music. What you mean actually has proper terms as well and sure is no garbage just because you don't like it, heck, even the progressive house guys draw inspiration from it. The genres you dislike are modern electro pop, maybe future bass, and variations of tropical and future house. NOT EDM. With EDM you would also insult progressive house - as I explained above. EDM is rather a new term for "pop" chart dance music, it has NOTHING to do with progressive house which has been going underground for years well before the "EDM' term for music actually became popular for mainstream pop dance music!!!
