My parents loved Smiley Bates so I grew up listening to him too. I think my parents owned every album he ever released. By the way, greetings from Newfoundland, a place where Smiley had many fans.

I'm so glad you're enjoying them. The guy called Ray, left of Smiley, at the start of the video, had all of Smiley Bates recordings. Smiley couldn't sell him a new release, he had that one also. :)
