A very nice old song with a realistic message in its lyrics. I have known many people who are as they sayñ "only work and no play" But there comes time when we become old, and money won't give our youth back. So we must have fun have a family, and enjoy life whilst we can, before old age or diseases, make it impossible for us. After all the joy of seeing one's children grow up and have the company of our wives, gives us a happiness that money cabnnot buy.

Indeed, he did; Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canadians were very successful in the years that they performed, but after the deaths of Carmen (1971) and Guy (1977), Liebert tried to keep the orchestra going, but failed, and it wasn't until Al Pierson came along and resurrected the orchestra in 1989 that they finally became successful again.

VintageMusicFm another true story I heard was that years ago Louis Armstrong was playing at a club in harlem, guy and some the band dropped in to see them , guy , upon leaving ,invited Louis up to see his band at a big plush hotel in new York, of course the management wouldn't let Louis in ,when guy found out about it, he told the manager you let him in or we all walk out, from that night on guy was always Louis's favourite band, in fact he always stated that Lombardo's band was the best band he could dance too. true story, that appeard in downbeat mag in the early 70's
