There’s this phenomenon called ‘the wisdom of the crowd’ where, if you ask a large group of people to guess the number of something they’ve seen before, like how many beans in a jar or how many people in a stadium and then take everyone’s answer, then find the mean (average) and that will usually be right or close to it- so, the bolt thing checks out. I’d be interested in if that always happens when Montgomery does this joke

Just watched 2 video's a year apart and his sketch is pretty much the same... He might get more bookings if he had more sketches. And the last part wasn't funny.

The final punchline was clever though, the twist of being in character as someone being in character as him.

this bit was recorded in 2019 so the two videos you watched were probably within months of each other. it's common for stand up comedians to re-use routines since they usually perform it to different audiences each time

And what exactly is a woke comedian? Someone who makes fun of foolish politicians? Someone who advocates for human rights and tolerance? What's the issue? Every comedian (regardless of success level) has jokes that don't land, it's part of learning and mastering the art of comedy. Plus there are plenty of comedians who are "woke" probably by your definition who are very successful, so that doesn't hold up at all either. The only place where obnoxious politically incorrect comedians can get a successful career is in america to be honest...
