Wow Guy is only 31 years old .. He has done a lot in that 31 years.. So went from 31 mph to 35mph in the draft and he said her ass was pulling him a long.. I think that was a compliment..

Yes, an olympic athlete can go faster than the majority of people... however male olympic athletes still go far faster than women olympic athletes do, it's simply physiological factors. There are plenty of non-professional male cyclists that can beat professional female cyclists out there.

Alan Braaa : that’s one way of seeing it, but a bit simple for my taste, so I’m gonna specified on what I meant !, yes she became a extraordinary athlete, but still she’s just a normal human being, that was born as a cute little girl exactly the same as so many others, she wasn’t born a athlete, She did the hard work that so many others would have quite when the ruff times was there, but all the efforts and what she did made her what she is, and what I was pointing is of what I’ve seen all my life, kinda like my father who’s like so many others out there that think Men are this and that, and superior in anyway of Women, and I was imagining one of theses old farts, thinking he could at least followed her, because her appearance depicts her, has a precious little fragile girl, but reality is she would leave most common mortals in her dust when she decided to go, and I also know that Guy Martin his so all the contrary of the Men I described up there, and I’m sure he saw here as exactly who she is, A perfectly normal young ladie, that has accomplished extraordinary things, by sheer will and giving it all she had when it was needed. Are we meant to believe a guy who doesn't ride a bike on a regular basis, in the rain and wind, in baggy clothes, on the flat, rode 31mph? About 50kmh? I think they've got their units mixed up there, more like 31kmh.

I think you are underestimating how fit you need to be to race anything, let alone a TT bike. Any moderately fit athlete that's got the balance and trust in the bike to not fall off can do 31Mph for a short pull like that.

Guy trains more than 200 miles a week and races mountain bikes. It is his second love outside of motorcycles, maybe his first since retiring from TT racing. Not just pedaling around the park.
