You are so right. He is technically flawless but what I like is that he adds imperfections like rasp, and still carries a massive emotional weight when singing. He started on the first Australian idol and won in the early 2000's. Excellent singer, one if the best male singers we have out there.

Great song, great lyrics, great performance. I've followed him ever since he performed on American Idol in 2004. He performed- Angels brought me here. He had recently won Australian Idol back then. His voice has changed.

He used to sound nasal, and did a lot of runs which was still great, but now his voice is more mature. It's clearer and his tone is darker.
