While he was still lost in his thoughts, trying to figure out how in the world that plate had got there, all of a sudden, somebody who was jogging on the bridge accidentally bumped on him, so he ended up losing his balance and fell off the ledge. Caught by surprise, the guy opened his mouth really wide during his brief descent and actually landed with it directly on the food. With his mouth full, he realized that spitting it out would be an even bigger offense than to break fasting, so he eventually decided to swallow it. Then again, since the poor sap didn't really know how to swim, he ended up drinking a truckload of water before someone actually jumped in the lake and saved him from drowning
