@@matthuang21 Hi Matt, I did not pass the online case study (in my country it's counted as a part of R1 interview before in-person R1 interview). But they said I only scored a little below the benchmark and they would be happy to receive me again in 6 months with more preparation and maybe more skills. Any tips to pass the R1 chatbot or written case in general? Do you want to make a video on online case study? It's so hard compared to real case interviews. So many numbers and I was under enormous time pressure. The format has changed so much now compared to the last few years. But no pressure Matt! Thank you for even seeing and replying to my comment.

Thank you for this one, been looking for great market entry content! Question for you/the community: let's say you want to take it a step further than saying okay 200,000 out of 7 million cups is about 3% of the market which seems reasonable. What additional information could you ask for to support your feeling that it seems reasonable?

I believe the average of 1 cup per day also took into account the people not drinking coffee (that's how I understand the written explanation from Bain), so I think there would be 100k cups drank/day.
@caiobqАй бұрын
Yes! That was my approach too. 100k population, 30% children and not coffee drinkers. Considering 20% drinks only once a day, a came to 50k drinking twice a day. Considering people will have one coffee at home, you'll have 50k outside. Considering coffee shops, work and university, I considered 30% of this 50k being consumed in coffee shops, getting to the number o 15,000 cups/day.

If the coffee shop owner manages everything on their own, labor might be considered a fixed cost. Otherwise, it would be a variable cost, depending on the need to hire additional staff. I could be wrong. Many thanks!!

Thats the essence of all entrepreneurial thinking at 17:17 you just mocked. Just because you've heard about uniq value props million times doesn't mean its nonsense becasue most of them fails in it. You're at google one of the most innovative companies ever and that attitude doesn't belong there.
