Kumaka is a name I learned during my geography lesson at school. Boarding the ferry doesn't seem safe, but Guyanese are contented with their way of living. We are judging from abroad. Your adventurous journey on the ferry ⛴️ seems like a thrilling experience. Beautiful scenery, and thanks for showcasing the beauty of Guyana 🇬🇾.

Congratulations to the MV MA LISHA on its maiden voyage. Here's hoping that Barbados, St. Vincent, St Lucia, Grenada and the other islands in close proximity can get a ferry too for inter-island voyages.

Thanks for your video on a very nice trip and views of Kumaka Mabaruma. It's a nostalgic reminder of most guyanese who traveled on ferry crossings in the old days. It's an experience to remember. As Guyana develops, these types of transportation will be upgraded to modern and efficient systems. I can see transportation of goods being separated from passengers as a possible time saving advantage. Whether by faster lighter ferry boats, or by road or rail. Keep up the good work.

Watching from London. Here In the UK, businesses are moving to everything online. The older folks are not tech savvy and are left out. I have friends who cannot use the Internet properly and struggle. Not a good thing. I know someone who has never used a mobile phone. They all assume we are all the same and lose a lot of potential customers. You are perfectly correct in pointing this out to the powers that be.

I do hope the staff are given an Emegency action plan/fire safety training at least twice per year.Well,I heard someone announcing that children without adult supervision should not be on deck.This makes mi confident that some kind of training is in place.

Nice video, glad to see the country is moving forward. But there should be more focus on the trash that people just discard anywhere, if you look at the ferry terminal where the water comes in the trash is just floating there. They should organize some type of clean up and educate the people of just tossing out their trash all over the place.

On observing the way in which passengers ,especially seniors,are boarding the ferry, there is the possibility of injury or even falling into the river. The Transportation department in Guyana needs to take urgent action to correct this situation, including an adjustable gantry with rails. Beautiful ship but need for improved safety facilities and passenger accommodation.
@oralcummings48506 ай бұрын
Totally agree.
@solid137810 ай бұрын
They need a proper Gang Planck for passengers to enter & exit the boat safely. Those pile of woods is very dangerous because there are no handrails & that wood will be slippery in wet weather. C'mon, gotta do things properly, the 1st time...🤦

The ac broke on the first voyage then they fix it then on the second voyage that I was on it broke again 1 hour into the voyage. The rain was falling up to about 3 am Can you open windows when it rains I guess not. After 3 am the rain subsided and the door and windows were then opened. If you listen carefully to the video I did mention these things

That mode of commute is primitive. Guyana is moving in a fast pace. why not build airstrips and more small planes? Including cargo planes etc? How much Pollution does that boat give out? 16 to 18 hrs to and fro...?
@andywaz131310 ай бұрын
Hello ARD and crew, I travelled with Kimbia from G/t to Kumaka in the mid 80's. It was a long rocking overnight ride.... there were no 'Classes of passengers' Now that there is a new boat from India came to run the ferry from where to Northwest... Why are such levels of indifferences'? The President / Gov't preaches 'ONE GUNANA' I understand that all have equal rights in any given shape, form, color, economic woes etc. Loading the cargo to the boat/ship can be enhanced . which will be more productive and save time and money.I do not see one Guyana strategy in this boat. Now I see 'ONE GUYANA' does not mean EQUALITY.
