Not sure. in some areas higher gravity just makes you tire quicker. You running or walking is literally just you falling, catching yourself and then falling again. Try walking and not put your foot forwards to catch urself, see what happens. So if steve can fall quicker, that also means he can fall more often aka higher speed. The astronauts on moon didnt look like they could catch a seven year old in a sprint.

remember tho that long jumping requires a run-up and lots of midair twisting. And while Steve is seemingly not flexible enough for that, we need to remember that 1.4 metres is still pretty dang impressive considering its a box jump with no run up, only his immediate leg strength. Granted the world record box jump is 1.54 metres, but Steve still comes remarkably close to that

to be fair, even with the run-up your jump height in minecraft is entirely the same. and that's technically also the case in real life (jumping without a run-up vs. jumping with a run-up but without twisting). The runup is to have enough horizontal space to do the twist and clear the bar, but it doesn't give you extra force for your jump.

You’re forgetting something. The Olympics are held on earth. Minecraft has a gravity over 3x stringer than earth, therefore it’s only fair Steve gets these enhancements. On Earth, that acceleration is 9.8 meters per second squared - which means that for every second you spend falling in Earth's gravity, you move 9.8 meters per second faster. In Minecraft, that acceleration is _~28.57_ meters per second squared.

1.4m is Acctually Steve’s standing vertical jump, equivalent to 55 inches which is higher than any human ever so measuring the high jump doesn’t really make sense unless you measure from the top of Steve’s head which would be 3.4m above the ground, which using the right technique would easily clear the world record.

This means that if Steve could tuck his knees, and flip over the bar for high jump, with perfect form, he would most likely win without potions (drugs). For context, the world record holder for a high jump had a verticle of 1.04m.

For the first event, Steve actually isn’t kayaking, he’s rowing as you can tell by the subtitles. If you take a look at the Minecraft boat’s oar movement and compare it to a single scull you’ll see they’re essentially the same motion. But Steve would still win the 2000m row against any Olympian, as the world best time for rowing is more than double what it took him to row 1000m.
