watched the interview with Scott and Ian from SBL just a moment ago which led me here. I think our tastes are similar Guy. I grew up on classic rock and heavy metal among my friends and band mates, but I always liked listening to the funkier stuff. I (try to) play bass, but I am most often on the drum set, and have always leaned toward the funky stuff on my own time. There were so many great players during the disco era that have been unjustifiably dismissed because it fell out fashion. I always loved the drum parts from Blondie's Clem Burke. I loved drum and bass esp from stuff like Earth Wind and Fire etc.. but it was my secret indulgence since all my friends were into rock and metal. Long live Disco !! LoL You seem like a cool, humble, guy to have some beers and jam with. Great little riff you have here too, with this Murder on the Dance Floor bit. I am going o learn it later tonight I think. Cheers.

I'll never forget, somewhere around 78-79, the agent let us down. all we could get was 4 nights in Virginia Beach an after hours bar. 2 til 6 and we had to do some disco in each of the 3 sets. Personally I hate disco, the band leader said, "oz, the bass player is the lead instrument. I bit my teeth, I mean, we had bills. Almost like coming out of the closet, I had a great time, they let me loose, just me and the drummer. Yea, 4 square, Pentatonic, but it was fun. So was the gal's Life on the road,, Harr Harr. I saw you on the Delicate and Division tours. You are a bass players bass player. Kudos.
