GUYS, I Skydived and Bungee-Jumped. 🙃 || Backpacking Cairns Vlog. Solo Travel or w/Friends?

TIMESTAMPS BELOW if you want them!! Aaaah Cairns was rather jam-packed! 🙈 from skydiving to bungee-jumping, white water rafting to scuba diving, I did a lot of things I never thought I'd do! Especially bungee jumping. I said I'd never do it; I just never felt a need to jump off a massive platform. Yet here we are! 😌😂
The vlog starts in Mission Beach! We were originally meant to be skydiving here, but it got cancelled due to the weather.

I actually can't recommend skydiving enough! TERRIFYING, but also one of the most incredible experiences. I recommend going with a company you trust, and 100% have travel insurance that covers extreme sports. Bungee jumping was also the one that I tried to back out of TWICE. Not one part of me wanted to do it, but now I'm so proud I managed it. It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected and was...... fun????? The scenery was definitely beautiful!

With advice on how to compromise and how to not feel awkward or guilty when suggesting something or how to bring up the topic of having alone time or how to deal with tension etc? I think because they’ve been saving money by getting cheap food, not going out to fancy cafes/resteraunts, not shopping, staying in hostels etc that leaves them with more money for activities

If you are going to Cairns I have a few recomandations if you are on more of a budget. 1. Check out rusty market, a farmer's market. 2. Go to the botanic gardens, a short bus ride or you can go on a nice walk there. Or hire a bike. If you like little hikes do one of the arrow walks (red arrow, green arrow). 3. If going on a reef trip is too much get a deal to Fitzroy island and do snorkeling off nudies beach. Or if you can get their glass bottom boat and snorkel tour. 4. Go to palm cove it's about a $12 return trip on the public bus. And the ticket allows you to get on and off the bus at other beach's. So you can even check our trinity. 5. If getting a tour to cape tribulation is too much pay for a bus to go to kuranda for the day. There are beautiful walks and markets. It's a private bus company but still cheaper than the cape trib tours. 6. Check out the art gallery, free entry. 7. Hiring a car with friends to do the rainforest is going to be alot cheaper and more chill than getting a tour.

Cairns is very expensive. There I isnt much to do in cairns if you are not willing to spend alot of money or have a car to drive around. Cape trib tour is about $90, scuba depending on the company is from $150-$250, bunjee jumping is around $65-90 (if you can find a good deal) and waterfall tour is $70-90. I live in Cairns.

Omg, this made me want to take a gap year before uni! I’m currently in year 11. I’ve talked about this to my mum and she said she doesn’t recommend it because I’ll forget all the knowledge from a levels and it will be harder to get used to the rhythm at uni and I might fall behind and I’m actually freaking out because I really don’t know what to do. Luckily I still have plenty of time to decide but I like to know exactly what is going to happen, it’s just my nature. Hopefully that will change after backpacking. Hopefully I will become more impulsive.
