Yes, Bts music is like storytellers, its very deep and unique. These theories got me more hooked with Bts. Spring day won Best Song of the year at Melon Music Award and Best Music Video on Mnet Music Award 2017. As RM said in his speech at Melon 2017, he remember writing Spring day song at the park around last year. He and Suga "we" wrote this song about missing friends and trying to comfort many people. Early, 2017, BigHit Ent. and each member donated money to support those affected by the Sewol Ferry Accident. (It was a lot of money, and I'm not sure if it happened before or after Spring Day MV was released). This information was not supposed to become public but was leaked. They are talented individuals with great personalities. They compose and create their own music with genre including kpop, hip hop, pop, electronica, rock, rnb & edm. Love seeing new people loving and admiring their music because they work hard on creating this. They talk about what subject, stories, style, beat they will put in it and after meticulous process and numerous editing their song is produced. BTW love your reaction.

There was like a government ban for a little bit about even talking about the Sewol Ferry incident because of how the government and k-media royally screwed up with getting the facts to the public but BTS still released this song and music video chock full of symbolism. The lyrics of the song are so fucking beautiful omg it was meant to comfort all those surviving students or anyone who lost a loved one. BTS haven't been able to openly come out and confirm it but it's pretty clear they feel it's their duty to be a voice for the youth and the people who don't have a voice.

Oh, didn't know the parallels were that deep. Thanks for the reaction. Now I understand why ARMY were offended when antis said BTS songs aren't deep & that this song didn't deserve MMA 2017 Song of the Year award.

Something else I think should be mentioned I don’t know if anyone else did because I didn’t read any comments yet. I don’t think it was a coincidence that about a month after the release of Spring Day video the Korean government finally raised the ferry after all this time (I could have the date wrong but I think it was 4 years) finally laying to rest the souls lost in this tragedy. Also the iconic “how much longer do I have to wait” this line always gives me chills because of the people asking how much longer should they stay there waiting for the crew to tell them to come up and abandon ship. There are even more symbols in the choreo of the song also. They never confirmed that the song, video, choreo are related to the tragedy (probably because of the backlash they would have gotten from the government) but anyone can clearly see the obvious truth they are related.

I heard that "you never walk alone" is also the motto (?) taken from the sewol ferry yellow ribbon campaign. this proves, that even though rm and bts have said we can interpret the music video however way we want, the spring day mv is indeed connected to the sewol ferry tragedy... but I'm glad the connection is not confirmed; I really do love the meaning of spring day because besides being able to be related to the tragedy and the suffering of the people, spring day can also be about missing friends (the summary rm gave of the song), or just about waiting for a better day; a better tomorrow, a spring day. I didn't really know it then, but now I have realized that spring day is a beautiful mv that has cheered me up many times and washed away much of my worries. I am very thankful for this song and for bts (and everyone else who worked on it, like the director, of course) to have made it.

This is the first time I've actually watched a theory video about Spring Day. I usually stick to twitter and theorize with other ARMYs when MVs are released. So while I already guessed about most of this, there were still a few things I missed myself. The amount of references and symbolism in their lyrics & MVs always amazes me. This is why I love BTS so much, thank you for reacting to this, I'm glad you guys have a better understanding of this song. By the way, it also won Song of the Year at MMA! :)

IF you're interested, you could look at the spring day choreo again with this background knowledge in mind. the choreography has many moves and formations similar to water, waves, and a boat shape. of course, it's all interpretation, but spring day overall is a very thought-provoking work, lyrics mv and choreography all together

if you guys wanted to know, BTS is rarely make "a love song" towards a girl. But, they do make songs about friendships, about life, about every difficulties we face, about dreams, about US. They make a "REAL SONG". Thats why you'll see a lot of beautiful lyrics in every song they made. Which they're success to make me always love myself. Its really an honour to know them, to support them, and to love them.

This video is just so sad... Sewol Ferry tragedy was something terrible to see... Hundreds of young lifes lost is such a stupid way. Helpless kids drowning... many teachers died too trying to save them. Captain has been condemned to jail, I believe. That's the minimum he deserves. "One of these nights" from Red Velvet is also about the tragedy and the symbolism is even easier to understand than the ones here. You should check it out if you have the chance. It is a beautiful song too! Hugs from Brazil Bye bye

Nice reaction, not that many reactors seriously looking into the symbolism in spring day. At least now you know why ppl love BTS and why its not just about the song and dance its more, its about the social issues that they discuss in their songs, the unique mvs, the theories and much more. You can also understand why ppl get piss when ppl compare them to any pop artists.

I did not know that people had connected this to the Sewol Tragedy. It just goes to show how down to earth BTS is. Knowing this makes so much more sense of it and it has so much more meaning and real world applicability now. They've always commented on society and been very vocal about social issues. I truly and deeply admire BTS for their thoughtfulness and for always making important statements and being willing to tackle and talk about difficult issues. People like them because they are talented and attractive, but there is so much more to them than that, and I hope with the growth of their popularity, their messages will be heard and understood throughout the world as well.

thats why they hit the best MV and Song of the Year! truly deserving for BTS to win this. no once recognizes how brilliant and clever this was. hardwork pays off in conveying the real message of this song. i just hope more people will realize how political and socio culture related this song is. for people to understand what BTS is really trying to deliver to the world. they are not just showing off their personalities, their cuteness and all that stuff, they are sending a message to us. we are looking at seven goodlooking idols with powerful dancing, but there are tbh more beyond that. beyond that scene! these seven boys represents bighit family relating the reality of life. they aren’t just some cutey cutey fucking idols who just wants to earn money. they are breaking the stereotypical stubbornness and hypocrisy of the society. they are rebels man. they are the heroes of the next generation. for every army, they can relate that at some point, BTS song messages saves a lot of dying souls, saves a lot of depressed individuals, saves a lot of lost friendship. i hope you’d understand just why armies are just so protective of our seven boys and our bighit family. we are a family now.

even tho BTS can't confirm this theory bc it's a touchy subject and the korean government could very well blacklist them, it was revealed early last year that BTS and their company made a large donation in secret to a foundation that helps families who lost their children in the sewol ferry incident. that's considered very risky but it makes me admire them more knowing that they will always side with victims through their careers and music. they write socially conscious songs and have even launched a campaign with UNICEF called LoveMyself that helps kids and youths of the world including bullied kids, homeless lgbt youths and more. they're inspiring.

There is another reference i leanred about not mentioned here...... the line "you'll never walk alone" seen on the fairground ride, is the name of a song, famously the anthem of the fans of the Liverpool Football club in the UK. In 1989, there was a disaster in the stadium as a rush of people into the stadium cause hundreds to be crushed to death at the front. At the time the police and authorities balmed the fans and holligans, but the people of liverpool refused to accept this and claimed uit was the fault of poor crowd management by the police and the story was a whitewash. After 25 years of campainging they finally got justice, and an apology. In light of this, the people of liverpool expressed sympthy for those involved in the ferry disaster and the resultant campaign for justice. I'm Sure BTS were aware of this link. Thanks for watching this vid, i think it is a really well made piece, the maker clearly did alot of work here. It gave me chills as well, especially the launderette, when i saw the machines as portholes full of floating dead. BTS really are something else.

Like what I truly admire is that d storytelling is deep with an open end. There are so many theories and some army say that they get confused. But, i guess even bts team has have put it in a way such that it can be interpreted in various ways. I do not think there is only one definite theory. There are many storylines flowing in parallel. BTS has made these albums to be truly thought-provoking. Its shit deep!! Like for real. Its magic. Its art, like true art!! I have started coming across so many theories and i could not sleep last night. BTS is a dapper group for sure. They are certainly more than just a kpop group that looks pretty!

Now, do you guys know one the many reason BTS is popular? They wont say anything to you about the real meaning of theur songs, and lets the viewer and listener to connect thenselves with it. SPRING DAY didnt become the song of the Year for 2017 for nothing. And even though RM didnt want to open the meaning of spring day and simply said its for people who misses their loved one, when asked in their conference because its a sensitive topic that the group respect. But the people understands it. Especially in korea. And you know the amazing coincidence to all that? spring day was release on february 13, 2017. And on april the same year when SPRING season starts, the korean goverment finally able to lift the sunken ferry and land it. Only that time, they coincidentally had able to lift the ferry. It was an amazing and emotional song.

Ty for reacting to the theory.👍 Seeing that Mountain of clothes in "Spring day" always gives me chills. It reminds me of all those wardrobes left without owners at home full of clothes. After someones in the family death, one of the hardest parts is to deal with those clothes, because sight and smell of them reminds u off your loved one u lost. The hurt u feel when u have to donate or get rid of them is no joke. I can only imagine amount of clothing left behind by tragedy victims and those poor parents who have to go through that process breaks my heart.😢

I remember when I saw BTS debut in tv. The first time I saw these boys come out in tv was through the show Music Core! from MBC channel: 18.3 (for LA county, CA + those who had digital boxes years ago) I saw their N.O. Performances but I was still confusing them a lot with the group BAP because both groups weren't that old, they were still rookies. BAP was one of the groups that were getting a lot of recognition because they had started strong. Their fandom color was Green and their light sticks were cute bunnies so everyone would be carrying either big bang or BAP lights to the live shows. BTS came and because both names were made of 3 letters and starting with the letter B... I couldn't differ them since both were new. Time passed and I saw BTS perform their comeback Concept Trailer for "컨셉 트레일러". (look it up! RM rips his entire shirt LOL) I liked it! Buuuut in my mind I was a bit bothered because BAP had stopped doing activities and so the attention turned to BTS... I thought maybe this was them taking advantage to steal BAP's fame, so I decided that at that point I would not try to support BTS. No, I wasn't an anti-fan but I wasn't going to cheer for them either. I was starting to become a BAP fan and I felt like I was betraying my boys. Time passed. BTS made a comeback with Boy In Luv and I fell in love with the song and dance practice! I bought the song online and while I did I realized I had made a HUGE error, I bought a BTS song... Sons of *******!!! Oh well the harm is done... Just this one song while BAP is still inactive.... Time passed again and I hear the song Fire. IT WAS FIRE ALRIGHT!!!!!!!! I watched the video and the lyrics and to my bitch of a luck .... you guessed it!!! B-mudafaka-T-S! WHATEVER ARE THIS KIDS EVEN DOING. By that time I had moved on about BAP and I was a whole new person. I was trying to become a full pledged BLOCK B fan while being an active KissMe(name of the U-KISS group fandom) [I'm a very old kpop veteran... well not old as in age but I've been around for a while now and that's why not many know about U-KISS now] Guess what I find out... the leader of Block B is a very good friend and also underground rapper bud of BTS' leader RM--- KILLMENOWGOD I stopped listening to kpop, new groups were born. I hear about GOT7, a new group but not so new, and I try to learn about the boys, found funny compilations of the members bambam, mark, jackson, jiyoung(jr), and cookie... WHAT????? cookie is "kookie"???? AS IN JUNG KOOKie FROM BTS???????? i gave up. Blood Sweat & Tears comes out I let myself be submerged with BTS knowledge. It was meant to be.

Most of BTS MV is symbolism and had deep meaning behind it. What I like about BTS is , they are not just talking about love with their music but also about society, youth, and etc. Most K-Pop group or musician in this case used to choose a 'common' theme with their song which is a bit boring in my opinion. They don't refuse to take the risk but BTS here is Beyond, the dare to take that risk to touch some 'taboo' topic (In this case about that Sewol tragedy) and turn it into beautiful song and MV that everyone can enjoy.

is it natural that I actually teared up because of this? the thought about what is the survivors and the families of the victims are feeling just hurts so much knowing that the government tried to cover what happened instead of telling the truth I hope that everyone who was involved in what happened to the victims will get punished! And I love how BTS always tries to talk about social injustice and oppression it makes me love them more than I already do.

Interesting to see all these references people are bringing up... although I do think "What you STILL DON'T KNOW about BTS SPRING DAY MV [ENG SUB][ITA]" by "Italian ARMY" was more in-depth... that video really analyzed almost everything! If you're interested in seeing just how far the references can go, a good video to check out :)

Guys great job I love your sincere reactions. If you are looking into a music video by BTS that also has a lot of symbolism, try reacting to blood sweat tears. There are many theories out there for that as well! Thanks!

this is not just about sewol tragedy, the person who subed this is not wrong but very biased to the incadint omelas is a totaly diffrent story jin min is the lone person suffering from the story of omelas that has nothing to do with sewol, jungkook is on the train alone the one scene u see him pass in the train while he is outside watching with the other members, never walk alone it shows in the clips above the scenes he is in. so dont take one theory alone its just a theory.

I'm so happy that Spring day won SOTY. It such a beautiful and unique song and also educational if we count the symbolism from the MV. If you want to react to more BTS theory videos then I would recommend the channel SKOPF.

I myself has my own similar interpretation of the mv n lyric itself except the relatable seol incident part. Maybe I'm reluctant to connect this song to the tragedy that happen. Since there ll be lots more controversy to relate those thing togather to be confirm by big hit or bts. We shall appreciate the beauty of song with hopeful n insightful msg with idea that show frm the mv itself. Thank u for this reaction n I appreciate those who put up lots of effort in building up theory m analysis by looking some clue over bts's music n mv. No matter what story they try to tell, we know in our heart n appreciate the lesson n touching moment we get from the mv n music. Everyone get their chance to color whatever they want on the sketch book of music n mv itself. Ll enjoy their music n their mv as well as incredible army that capable to locate those clue in such passion n analytical way. U can tell they watch all mv frame by frame to pick up the puzzle of clue n idea b4 they manage to develop those idea as a whole. That's require skill n time men.... u would missed out those clue just like that u if u r not detail enough or get rid of it as randomly bias object which might not relevant in ur opinion. Well made for explanation video 👍👏👏
