Tales of Rebirth Has a Completed Fan Translation!

As a Tales fan since the early 2000's and a Rebirth fan ever since the old English script dropped. It brings me a lot of joy seeing people discover this game. I hope yall play it and enjoy it. This is one of the best games the series has to offer. :')

Words can't describe how happy this fan translation being out makes me!! Rebirth is easily my most hyped Tales that has never been released in the west. I've seen part of the translation on YT and the story fascinated me, I own both the PSP and PS2 versions and the battle system is so fun! But I didn't want to play the game constantly glancing at a translation video or just watch a walkthrough. So i've denied myself the full story for years! Thanks for giving this a spotlight Daniel!! As for other Tales i'd love to see translated? Phantasia Narikiri Dungeon X and Innoncence R and the Destiny duology. It's really hard to pick just one!

Destiny Director's Cut already has a fan translation. And Destiny 2 translation is in beta testing right now.

Innocence R already has a translation patch. It even has an HD texture for Vita 3k.

Even with the hard work from lifebottle. I still want Rebirth Localized and remastered. Even if it's HD 2-D in the same way star ocean got. Not many people are going to go out of their way to get their copy on pc and patch it. This game deserves it's spot out on shelves everywhere for people to give a look over. Besides Rebirth I'd love is Destiny 1 & 2 got a combo pack remaster! Great video Daniel, you really killed it with this one!

This game looks better than any HD 2-D release. Its not easy to remake pixel games like this.

@@DanielGunner1985 Defs agree, it looks really nice and the amount of animation we get out of the skits is pretty stellar! I just think if they remaster it, give us something different/more since now we got this and all the hard work life bottle put into it. Or hell, do what dragonquest did and let us play in both modes!

Same besides you can't IMPORT the PS2 game and Patch IT for a ENGLISH PS2 version at all so I'll wait for a PS4/Switch port/remaster of Destiny 2/Rebirth instead.

​​@@veghesther3204You can't patch the PS2 game because PS2 discs are not rewritable. You can however play it via a burned disc if you use free McBoot and open loader. You can get a premade freemcboot card off of eBay for like ten dollars. You can also get an MX4ISO memory card to pair with the freemcboot and this will allow you to load the ROM via an SD card. (Will cost under 30 bucks if you are in the states)

​@veghesther3204 All you need is a memory card with Free Mcboot on it to play burned games on your PS2. Shit you can buy a memory card with McBoot on it for ten dollars if you don't want to do that yourself.

Patched this recently and was pleasantly surprised to hear they completed Destiny DC too. Tales Fans are eating good with these patches and the 30th Anniversary Remaster Project.

I just got into Tales fully after Vepseria, and now i’m just happy w this and remastered the tales series is pushing more and more into mainstream and becoming translated for more to enjoy, be it by fans or Bamco

I remember frequenting the blog page Abyssal Chronicles that translated Tales of Hearts and Tales of the Tempest for DS. I checked that blog like weekly for a year during the Hearts translation, and then Tempest just dropped without any build up a few months later. It felt like a big new game release, and the translation work was great. Just might look into Rebirth now.

There is another group called "Lumina Tales" that has been working on a Destiny 2 translation. They started testing and bug fixing back in May, so it shouldn't be too much longer until they release.

For that it does NEED a PS4 PS5 Switch port you can NOT use the Fan patches for th actual console games so the PS2 Rebirth can't EVER be put into English text ever unless it gets a PS4 PS5 Switch port/remaster.

The character designs of the main cast are also some of my favorite in the series. Everryone looks so cool an interesting, and Eugene is one of my top favorite Tales of Characters

It's amazing what fans can do. I hope that Bandai Namco officially re-releases Rebirth on modern platforms. I really hope the rest of the Tales of series gets to be on modern consoles. Also I can see Bandai Namco porting Zesteria, Beseria and Arise onto the Switch 1/Switch 2 sooner to get some extra copies sold as well in the future.

While I technically played through most of Xillia about 10 or so years ago, and Abyss for about an hour, I only recently got truly into the series with Tales of Vesperia, which I am absolutely loving, even though I was never that good at action games. I've been wanting to try other games, and this is certainly on my list. Though I'll probably give Abyss another chance first.

My only experience playing this particular game was through the PSP version and I had no idea what the hell was going on in the plot. And by the time I figured out how to use mystic arts I had no idea how I did them in the first place I was so lost. I think I had to use a guide for the story to make sure where I was going but every time I had to stop take a break and have to go back to the plot I'm like wait where am I in the story I have no idea. Thankfully the entire game got fully translated which is amazing and I definitely appreciate the efforts that these people have done since it had to have been a long patch job but now that we are given confirmation that we're gonna be getting remasters of the older games now, I would love for rebirth to get remastered.

A few years ago, I wanted to binge watch the entire Tales series *growling* and that included Dawn of the New World *back to normal voice* and I started with Rebirth. Unfortunately, there was no English Translation so I had to watch two seperate playlists one that is an actual walkthrough with Japanese text (FlamingGnats) and another that translated the cutscenes (Ianyn). Now that there's a legit English Translation, I NOW REALIZE THAT I JUST DID THAT IF I JUST WAITED A COUPLE OF YEARS I DIDN'T HAD TO DO SOMETHING SO TEDIOUS!!!! Anyway, I'd glad people now can play the game without doing all that and (probably) say, "Huh, this sounds like the plot of BNA."

@@Rich12345620 Oh, wait. I misread your comment earlier. You might be out of luck if you don't have a computer or Xbox series console or don't want to use your phone. Though I will say... If your phone is strong enough and you can dock it to a display, it might still be worth doing. There's also a bunch of decent quality telescopic gamepads you can get for it too, for portable play. In addition to this, while there is not currently a PS2 emulator for iOS, there could be one in the future.

Finally!this feels nostalgic for me..I already played this game back in 2015 when i was study japanese..i think i kinda understand why this game not released in western back then...the racism is strong in this game and there are some like witch hunt if I'm not mistaken. But the gameplay is awesome and the mystic arte is kinda like tales of arise where you can only use it to finish the enemy..awesome game for sure.

Tales of Destiny 1 and 2 on new systems, I dont know if 2 was localized. Rebirth and Tempest as well. The only 4 mainline ( i think ) which i never got to play. And Ive been playing tales games since Eternia.

Now all that's left is Destiny 2 and complete translation for 2 Radiant Mythology games(which are hella underrated i might add) and we'll have the full series translated. I've got like 10 games in backlog before i go back to tales and play through all games i haven't played yet after that(Halfway through Vesperia so gonna finish that, then the ps2/psp ones like Phantasia(probably gonna go with the narakiri x version since i heard that's better than OG phantasia), Legendia, Abyss, Destiny DC, Eternia, and now Rebirth, then Dawn of the new world on ps3 emulator). Also, haha funni KUREAAAA scream, can't wait to hear it in-game.

I too became a fan with Tales of Symphonia on the Gamecube. Loved it. Opened my eyes to this series that I never ran into before. AND... ive been trying to chase that magic of Symphonia and find it in every Tales title released after. And with each new release, I get further away from it. Tales of Vesperia was one of the reasons that put me over the edge and made me buy a 360. And while it wasnt as good as Symphonia, it was close enough for me. And then my interest in what the series kept giving me, made me no longer care about it. I didnt even play the last one. I kept running into pacing and enjoyment issues with every title.

We don't often get games translated Mother 1 was reportedly finished but never released Fire Emblem was translated then taken away When a game comes to NSO that didn't release originally In English It's usually the original non translated because obviously that takes time and effort but with all the money they are making from NSO subscriptions at least £20 per switch user every month they can afford to hire a small team, hire these hackers that do It as a passion project they should be paid for this, they should be released legally for everyone and I have no idea why they arent
