The PSP Go actually IS compatible with the GPS and Camera - you just needed to buy an extremely rare official addon which converts the Go's proprietary port into a normal mini USB port with mounting peg holes, just like a normal PSP. I had a friend use her PSP Go + GPS this way to give me driving directions to a mall a few years back!

6:15 I have the deepest respect for people like you, John. Having the confidence to not give a shit what others think in public or that you get strange looks by doing something nerdy like this. I took my niece to dance practice last week, and although I had brought my DS lite for entertainment during her 50 min of practice, I did not dare pull it up while I was sitting in the hall waiting with the other parents. Because I know that if I am getting strange looks, even if its really just in my head, then I can't enjoy myself, and that's a huge disservice to the game. Then again, when I instead saw the new Knuckles trailer on youtube on my smartphone, I barely even dared to laugh or smile because I am generally a socially angsty person who'd rather turn myself invisible.

I’ve felt this way too before. But one question i ask myself is, if they didn’t want us to grow up and like video games, why did they let us play them as a kid? Did they just expect us all to grow out of it? Generations before didn’t have the type and amount of access to media we did. It was an important part of our early lives.
@Granadico7 ай бұрын
Most of it is just anxiety. What you think is a giant look of shock and confusion is probably just a cursory glance that they move on from after a few seconds. Ill never do something as bombastic as like a tiktok dance in public like I see some kids do, but using a handheld is just another device.

To my knowledge the GPS never released in America. I worked at GameStop during the era and never saw any games bundled with it, nor was there a SKU in the pre-owned accessories list. I wonder if the GPS function for MGS works in America. Plus, what exactly do the soldiers correlate to? Like, what context is there for the GPS to determine where the points are located.
@Mimi.10017 ай бұрын
From the few dots/soldiers Jon demonstrated in the video, they seem to be quite random, so not like actual Poké-Stops which usually are at some kind of landmark. Maybe it's something with longitude/latitude + distance from starting position and calculated based on that. If that's the case, I imagine it should also work in America.
