Awesome? Yeah I don't know mate... Imho it came across like just another game trailer. At some point, if GW ever want to make something of worth, they're going to have to do more than merely animating things that people recognise and actually inject a bit of story into it. Otherwise it's just the usually idiotic point, clap, hoot at things you recognise on the screen, which is exactly what everyone hates about whatever classic IP is being plundered by the big film/tv/streaming studios this week or the next. Like they say in the biz, "if it's not on the page, it's not on the stage." I honestly don't have high hopes for how this will turn out.

Looking though the credits of And They Shall Know No Fear, and I noticed that in addition to Clive Standen, the voice cast had Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje and Mark Sheppard, two actors who have already been in a ton of things beforehand. That's not nothing, and shows the sort of talent they can potentially get for Cavill's upcoming series.

I would say the biggest news is that Codex Space Marines are getting their detachment tomorrow. I both ironically and unironically can't wait to see what GW pulls out of it's rear for vanilla marines.

The changes to Fire Discipline with no points reduction to it or the units making the most use of it is borderline criminal.

Well, as I feared, GW is still artificially limiting supply of Kill Team expansion boxes. Although they did seem to have *slightly* more stock this time, but still sold out of every store I saw by the end of day Saturday expect for a few that are now selling it for $165+. As for the Amazon show, I am cautiously optimistic. Hopefully they don’t screw Henry Cavill like Netflix did. The Secret Level episode was great even if it was teasingly short and they took “in the grim darkness” a little TOO literally.

From a visual story-telling perspective, 'And They Shall Know No Fear' was hella' impressive, I think. No idea who was behind the animation on this project, but some of the visuals used there definitely had a strong Syama Pedersen's 'Astartes' vibes. Like, when the daemon stops time to suspend the bolt rounds, the quiet and inexorable march of the space marines, or when Titus reaches for his combat blade before executing the daemon. I also don't hate how Titus now looks very different than in Space Marine 1 and 2 games, given that chronologically, the rubricon procedure had plenty of time to settle in him and alter his appearance. Man, I could talk about it even longer, because that's how mad the quality of GW's official animations finally started to look like, but it's funny how it takes a Primaris Lieutenant (of all things) to usher any quality content into existence 😂

TBH here in australia the kill team box price doesnt seem too bad sure it doesnt come with the core rules like in the gallowdark series but at $230 for 2 teams and terrain and rules/tokens/cards for the teams it isnt bad with 25% off its pretty good to be fair ($172.50) just sucks that they didnt make dice for the ratlings as I would have jumped on those as well.
