The winter gobbler is working like that for a long time, it is good that they changed it for the candy corn.

True, but it seems the buff amount coming from the candy corn was reduced in this patch, meaning that before the patch a stack of candies would give you like 3 hours buff, now it grants less than 2(invented numbers, but just to give you an idea)
