It's not just the kiting, which is obviously an incredible thing to behold - it's getting the kills and securing stomps. I think if you're on the opposite end of that and you and 50 dudes couldn't kill one dude, it's time to call it a career in GW2 lol. GGs, not sure how I wasn't subbed, crazy, but I am now.

Ngl, cele allows a lot more mistakes, for example I almost died on one stomp, thanks to cele I didnt

@@rektyu7035 my biggest complaint about cele is it never seems to have enough damage. you're just living until the other player dies. But for WB it seems to still have pretty high damage numbers.

@@Kject cele doesn't give high damage by itself, like you said but it gives enough boon duration to stack offensive boons that boost the damage to unhealthy levels. Boon duration is what makes cele wb broken, imo Wb happens to have good power coefficients on its skills and damage modifiers in radiance + easy boon access. And here you go, too much damage on a very tanky build. Same goes for cele harb and scrapper

@@theclaw8698 I'm mostly trying stuff, so the idea behind this change is that you alrdy have 100% reta uptime, the aegis doesn't bring much value either and you lack a bit of power damage with dura runes, so the extra 20% on aegis (which is only happening on a F3 burst ngl) has more value imo

Not for this build, celestial is the only way to make this kind of build work, but exotic gear is enough if you don't want to reroll ascended gear just for roaming

ANET raped thief and dissected it, since guard has much more dmg on celestial gear and way more boons the most obvious choice was to buff it with the ripped mobility from thief. The stealth trapper build was long ripped from thief and given to ranger and also guard. And the ranged dps and some mobility was ripped and given to necro. All these classes did great on the newly buffed celestial gear, whilst thief couldn't do a damn thing with it, leaving it the most useless class in the game.

@@rektyu7035 highly debateable 3 pro thiefs vs 3 pro guard / ele / ranger / ....? stealth is nothing, almost all classes have reveals t3 objects reveal, centries, traps... So if you generally talk about roaming you want to run thief core s/d? without stealth? glass canons vs group buffing high dps classes that can revive each other in a sec.... yea I'm not so convinced it's still the best roamer.. perhaps if you talk about solo pip farming

@@rektyu7035 no, maybe just to poke the keeps or garri, but for lone roaming, definitely anything else is better imo. Cele willbender, druid, catalyst, harbinger etc, all better for 1v1+

@@kuchikopi4631 I calculated a while ago, the total sum of full asc / leggy cele is 74% more stats vs 3 stat gear! in coparison 4 stat gear is just below 10% more stats in total... Anet can't balance stuff.. they alway throw it from 1 side of the scale to the other.. like maybe they could go with 30% more... but 74% more makes celestial the better choice over so so many other stat choices on so many builds... I even run cele on 2 of my thief builds.. yea thief doesn't have much boons or high condi output, but with that 74% buffer makes these builds still 10, 20 , 30% better than a combination of other stat choices. Overall it is a pity because it takes away the variety of builds, both in wvw and pve

im inclined to think the only other melee that could stop you would be holo, core rev maybe power herald, a axe/axe sword/shield warrior of some sort, or a hammer soulbeast, but your mobilty is your primary defense....so before they got anywhere youd be out. its impressive , but a shame gw2 doesnt have more passive defenses not restricted to weaponskills....this right here highlightes the imbalance, i dk what other eod spec could compete toe to toe, other than another willbender, or maybe spector . Heck even core ele would put up a good fight. its obvious, with the mixture of range pressure there is no balance in this game (since no1 has a clue how to play) or was intended to be, futile to think there ever will be...this is like a thief on crack ...5+ shadowsteps on short cooldowns no wonder thief players are dogshit for 12 yrs straight. heavy armor thief ? who needs stealth at that point?
