GW2 WvW Easy Build - Barrage Spam Soulbeast (Just Buffed)

Barrage was just buffed in the 30th Jan 24 patch to have 2 ammo count instead of 1. So, this is mainly a cloud/zerg build that spams barrage (longbow5) on the ranger (soulbeast) using the quick draw trait in the skirmishing line, which refreshes the next weapon skill by 66% on weapon swap.
Rotation: Swap weapon before barrage (longbow5)
Fireworks relic is currently not proccing with lb5 so we use thief relic for now.
You can try untamed too, the ambush will reduce the cooldown of lb skills. Probably pair with a long range pet like a turtle.

I would recommend fried golden dumplings and strength runes, for permanent 25 might

You should run eagle, cause in merged form the owl doesn't add any damage.

It would be helpful to actually see how the damage compares to what other classes are doing. Sure, it looks simple and somewhat fun, but if you are hitting like a wet noodle compared to other classes/builds, just how useful is it?

you won't hit like a wet noodle with berserker/scholar + triple damage traitlines. but i suppose i should reinstall arcdps.

its possible to roughly estimate it from the video. barrage hits every 0.6 seconds a maximum of 5 targets, and it looks like the damage ranges from 800 to 1400 per hit. so if we average it to be 1.1k per hit, then its 1833 per second. multiply that by 5 = 9.1k per second for one barrage. usually a really good dps in a boon ball is like 18k, so it's not doing amazing but it's not the worst either

The issue is that they don't want archers, the commanders always take you out without even looking at the damage, normal with other classes as op like the necro and the warrior, but they don't improve this class to compare with the others in damage.

the beauty of wvw is you don't have to listen to anyone telling you what you can or can't do. if you run cloud builds like this, it's even better you don't join a squad and instead just hang around them and range like what i am doing here, aka clouding. Alternatively, you can join a cloud server like SOS or MAG or join commanders that accept everyone. After a while, you will know which commanders to join and which to avoid.
