Gwamanda placed on special leave following arrest

Johannesburg mayor Dada Morero has placed MMC for community development Kabelo Gwamanda on special leave following his recent arrest for alleged fraud. ANC Johannesburg region spokesperson Masilo Serekele says Gwamanda's political party should be asked about its decision to deploy a 'potential criminal' for an important position such as Johannesburg mayor.
