Thank you so much for sharing the upgrades and modifications you made to the Jemusi Semi. That information along with the Drift Mode tip allowed me to finally finish a coal run. Also, it's "Alt+A" to switch between manual and auto shift modes (for anyone else who needs that). Thanks again!

I'm glad I helped 😁 and thank you for the "Alt-A" tip, 400hrs into this game and I never knew that lol. I had remapped it onto a button on my wheel, but still good to know

I intended to do the coal run for the first time last night. I bought the Jemusi and spawned a trailer, but did not do any upgrades because I wanted to see how the stock truck handled it. Everything was fine until the first big hill you started at. It took so many attempts to get a run up for me, but I finally made it. The rest of the trip to the mine was fine after that. Once I loaded the trailer though, I couldn't get out of the pick up location. I finally flipped the trailer, it detached, and was stuck upside down at the base of the hill. I got too frustrated and gave up. I then went and put a bunch of upgrades on the Jemusi and intend to try again. I have pretty much the same setup but put in the 13 speed gearbox instead of the mark 1. I think I'll switch to the mark 1 after watching this video. Thank you for posting this! I was finding it very difficult to find truck setups for this run. I do enjoy watching the full journeys instead of the edited runs as long as you throw in the occasional advice for sections of road as you did here. Great job.

@TravisBaugh I'm so glad you got something good out of this video. All of my videos are completely uncut now and probably always will be, within reason. I'm glad you gave it another shot (or will) as it's worth it in the end. You really don't need a 13spd for that, 2 gears is all you need with my setup. 4th and 6th and keep it in 6 low-lock for the whole off-road section. Run ups are the key. Maybe watch the video on your phone at the same time as you do the run to get a prewarning for the runups you need. If you are online Monday after 7:30am (GMT) then you're welcome to jump in with me, and I'll make you a pro at it 😁

I prefer the Dumpy for the coal mine, even using the muddy shortcuts. Most of the time it just eats, but if you get to those tough spots, just pop it into 8th gear after you get enough rpms up, and you wil just fly up those hills. It is faster on the highway as well, so that is another plus. Also, the AI is better at driving trucks with no trailer, so you can put it to work while you aren't using it. It may not make as much as a good bus route, but it does take care of your supply chain issues. Love the Motor Town content, my guy. Keep it up. See you in the Workers League.
@Mr-Bug-UK2 ай бұрын
Yeah, Dumpy worked pretty well in a lot of places, but I just got fed up with it keep wanting to lie down and have a nap every 7 seconds 😂 I do really need to get some trucks sorting out the supply runs. I've been so slack on that. Thank you for the kind words 😁

Wow thanks man. I guess this video proves you're just a better driver than me 😄 I struggled on the few very steep climbs. When I tried in 6th gear, 6L-lock of course, just like going through the rest, it didn't work out. So I tried 4th or 3rd on those, didn't work either. But I was not in drift mode, maybe that's it. The config seems similar otherwise. I'm manually shifting with my shifter as well. I think I'll study this video while driving along and compare.
@Mr-Bug-UK2 ай бұрын
You're welcome 👍🏻🙂 The point of the video wasn't to brag, haha, as even if I was a better driver, that would be the only thing 😂 Yeah, got to lose the driving aids when going off-road, they're a nuisance. You just need to be at the perfect speed/rev combo to not lose momentum or spin the wheels. With my gearing, you'll be set with 4th and 6th gears for the whole off-road section 😁
@MythosHB2 ай бұрын
@@Mr-Bug-UK I switched off lots of assistants when I configured my wheel, pedals, shifter. I also thought the mode only controls auto-shift and that wouldn't matter when shifting manually anyway. I'll try next time. Maybe it's the overall gear ratio, I'll check that as well. From the RPG I set it to be as fast as possible for the boring long journey and it wouldn't matter off-road since I'm ignoring lots of gears anyway and have plenty avail😄
@Mr-Bug-UK2 ай бұрын
Comfort mode is full assist and shifts early Sport mode is 80% assist and shifts at redline Drift is 20% assist and shifts at redline (I think) You can just turn assists off manually in settings, but I like being able to flick them on and off when needed. They're useful in the rain but that's all I use them for lol
@MythosHB2 ай бұрын
@@Mr-Bug-UK Ok, I rewatched the video while driving along and finally made it without the winch needed. I even followed you through all the shortcuts. Of course RPG boy made it through the sand at the end. Thanks for the ride, mate 👍 We already had the same transmission setup. And just to prove my point (to myself) I left it in comfort mode. With my settings it shouldn't matter at all. Overall you were much faster or I would say more reckless 😄I blame it on the force feedback and me not wanting my desk to jump around in my room 🤣🤣
@Mr-Bug-UK2 ай бұрын
😂😂😂 Yeah, I was driving like I stole it lol. I didn't want the video to drag on too long. Didn't realise people actually enjoyed the journeys that I usually cut out. Yeah I need to turn my FFB down a little, I've spilled so much tea/coffee/dr prepper on my desk because of a rock in the road 😂 I've never mamaged it in comfort because on the hills, the TC kicks in and cuts power to the wheels. So well done for that
@nathangreig5884Ай бұрын
This is a hard but fun run that pays well, i would suggest to new players they just practice some hills and the buy your own truck for this, i really struggled at first even using other peoples trucks they gave me that they were speeding up the hills in. So i bought my own jemusi and modded it to my own specs . Its not the fastest but i did using the knowledge i have and i can make the run, i crawl up the hard hills in gear 1- 6low lock abd the rest in 4 high, I use controller though so i cba to run manual and feather the accelerator for the hard hills. Power helps for sure but its how you drive it that matters, dumpys are populer but im not gonna get a dumpy no way, id flip everywhere and get stuck without proper gear management
@Mr-Bug-UK14 күн бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, for some reason I didn't get notified about this comment. Yeah, it can be hard for inexperienced drivers or those with no or light mods, but with some practise, it can become easy very quickly and like you said, very very profitable. Dumpy does make it, and it makes it very well with careful driving, but it does like to fall over a lot with standard suspension

I gotta say Mr Bug, this was the fun way, just followed the same path. I wish you would make some proper tutorials for this game and showed off your builds which you used to pull off the jobs. It would really help out new players and players like me who are just getting back in the game again a lot.

I recommend you 13 Speed gearbox with 1 FDR for all time use of 6L-Lock
@Mr-Bug-UK2 ай бұрын
Edit: I just re-read that and noticed the 1FDR part. I'll definitely give that a go 👍🏻 I tried the 13spd at the start, all my trucks had it... It is good, but it just changes gear far too frequently to climb efficiently

@@Mr-Bug-UK I found I like my Jemusi Semi with a 6spd MK1, 3.55 rear end. Which, IRC Lets you go about 55kph in 6th - Lo, which for me is fast enough off road.

I can't wait for this shortcut to be deleted as well, dev likes to wage war against players. I would take the mud roads if they were actually usable by ANYTHING feasibly. I don't mind being slowed a bit and getting stuck if i make a mistake, but that mud might as well be a brick wall.
@Mr-Bug-UKАй бұрын
Yeah, the new mud road is a real challenge. But if it was too easy, it would make the Gwangjin Town jobs too easy, and then the money would get nerfed
