I shed a tear of happiness for the Ramones shout out. Everything he said in terms of what made Johnny’s tone so awesome was 100 percent accurate. Almost NOBODY ever gets a Ramones cover right for that exact reason. It’s all downstrokes, all in the wrist, slightly less power on the off beat for a “DOWN down DOWN down DOWN down” sort of thing. Everything he mentioned, the power stance, the attitude, the downstrumming...spot on, man. Super underrated band with kickass powerful muscular riffs, especially their live albums. Respect, Pusty.
