Watsky is not a rapper. He is a true poet. He speaks purely from the heart. Watsky inspires me when I am down. He encourages me to work and live. Im gonna dump a little here, I don't think anyone will actually read this all the way through but I want to write it. I found this song a long time ago, my dad showed it to me. Ever since then I told myself the person id love would be able to be just like this song describes. I have gone through many heartaches thinking I finally found them up till recently. I was single for over a year and then he walked in, the thing is I didn't realize how accurate this song would end up being. He had been in a car wreck in September, and even though it wasn't his arm injured the most, he broke his femur. I've been able to have the honor of watching him heal, to take his first steps since the accident. Its amazing to finally see him getting off the crutches. So I suppose I was waiting for somebody to fit the whole song, not just the aesthetic. He cried the first time I sent him it. Its been our song, ill fall asleep on call to him singing it, and we share the same favorite line "im fucked up just like you are, and you're fucked up just like me". This song hits us hard, especially as a long distance couple. I love him so much, and hope he never let's go, cause im not going to.

@Lex I saw and I read your entire comment. I do hope your friend has completely recovered from his accident. My son showed me this song years ago. I just now watched the video tho. It’s such a great song! There is so much truth to every verse. The best people I know are the wounded, the seemingly strange, the outside the box folks, the ones with the raw nerve endings to the world, the ones that feel the deepest, that think the clearest, that have compassion because they have been to the depths of despair at the hands of others yet still reach out to others and love fiercely. Give them here, we can be broken together chillin comfortably with all the skeletons and elephants.

As a french man I do not understand allthe lyrics, but the music, your voice, the movie, that's all kind of expressive things that really touch me. I never fought I could love rap music, maybe because I never heard this kind of music enough (I preffer Brutal metal music by the way) But, how you did that was totally great, and in every clips you've done I can feel that expressive sound I love so much. I love this song so much, because of the irony that I associate with this song, this was my ex-girlfriends favourite song because of how it described our relationship, we are long distance so this song related to us, we were both very broken people, but we helped each other fix ourselves, this was our favourite song because of this. But after a year and a half, she changed, songs like this didn't matter to her, she started not to miss me, I still loved this song but she had changed, long story short, she broke my heart and now I am broken again, yet I still love this song, it makes me sad because it reminds me of how we both felt years ago, but makes me happy because I know I am still me and she is just lost on the wrong path, but I also love the irony, she used to say this song will always describe us, now she's sleeping with everyone and I am yet to find someone that will help me rebuild, but I am happy, I am contempt because I'd rather be alone and sad, than be what she has turned into, thank you Watsky, this song alone has made me feel every emotion possible, that is rare

I just got out of a very abusive relationship. It was a year of verbal and emotional abuse until he snapped and put hands on me in front of my daughter. I've been so lost trying to get it together because mothers don't get a day off to break down. I was on my way to the police station when this came on my Amazon music suggestion list. I pulled over to listen to it. I wanted to hear it because I felt it on a molecular level. It was the first thing to make me smile and feel normal. Like maybe this bad patch is a bad patch and that's all. I didn't hurt or feel numb. It was feeling the sun for the first time. I kept playing it. I found the video on KZbin and I kept sending it to anyone who was sad and hurt or going through some dark shit. This is the first thing I've found that helps. I couldn't eat. I felt suffocated. And then along comes Watsky making me feel like I'm not alone. I can't say thank you enough. It's strange to think that I might not have had it in me to seek help if I didn't hear it. I might not have gone back to my mother. I might have gone back until he put me in the hospital. But I didn't. All because of some 3 minute and change long song promoting the love that you can find in the smallest things we take for granted. I know that big picture its just a song but when everything is dark and you get so desperate that you consider some real bad ideas this kind of art turns in to the difference between life and death. And I'm choosing life.

This was the first song i heard from him in 2019. Finally got the chance to see him live in Portland Oregon May 2,2023. I know I'm not a long time fan, ie for over 10plus years, but I'm definitely a hardcore fan of him. He's just such a special human. He is like everyone's best friend who finds him. He speaks to our hearts so much. This song live made my life. He's so incredible. Doesn't matter when you find George Watsky, it just matters that you have found him.❤ He's a gem 💎

zSc0pe I wasn't trying to be a "dipshit" the way that he worded it sounded like he was being sarcastic. To the person that replied to my comment: I'm sorry I misinterpreted you. I apologize. You can never tell on KZbin, especially with sarcasm because a lot of people act like assholes and I'm very sorry that I came off that way and didn't understand what you were trying to say. I'm really sorry. *insert sad face of your choice here* And to the person I'm replying to now: I'm glad you clarified what he was saying, but I will also say fuck you for being as rude as most of the assholes on here. But other than that. Thanks again for letting me know I that misunderstood. (:

This song reminds me of one of the most amazing people i have ever met. He helped me thru my divorce from my abusive ex. He was a lot younger than I am. There were so many nights that we would drive around and talk and hike in the dark just cuz. He introduced me to so much music i had never heard of. Told me he didn't care about my past. That i was an amazing person that deserved the best. I sit and listen to this now and think of him and cry tears of longing as well as laughter. The adventures were ones ill never forget.

When people leave high school, they only really stay friends with those who stay living near them, and even then half of those friendships end. So realistically it's better to spend your time in high school working towards your life goals than making friends that could be bad influences. I say go ahead and keep skipping lunch, find your rock elsewhere, especially if it's right here with music, because music will never betray you.

This song illustrates the positive side of second hand or otherwise re-used items, showing that an old object with a bit of character and a story is often more valuable than a brand new, pristine one which has no depth to it - and the same goes for people, too.

Amazing song, a very much needed addition to my playlist, and to be honest, probably relevant to everyone at some point in their lifetime. I remember the scene with Jay and Silent Bob in Chasing Amy, where silent Bob goes on about pushing this girl he loved away because of his own insecurities, because she was 'experienced' and had previous lovers, and that made him feel small, inexperienced, and he lashed out at her for doing all these things in her past. She kept saying it was all in the past, and didn't apologize because she didn't think she had done anything wrong, but silent Bob kept pushing her away and tearing her down, and said 'it's over' and walked away. He went on to say how he always regretted that moment, he realized it was his own insecurities, and spent every moment since then "Chasing Amy". I felt the same way. I felt inexperienced when I met one of my girlfriends, and I would lash out as well. Felt like I was getting someone's 'sloppy seconds' or that they were a promiscuous, or a slut, whatever. And I pushed those girls away. Not realizing they liked me for who I was, and I was not loving them for who they were, but only seeing them for who they were in their past. Similar to silent Bob, and similar to how I interpret this song. This song is more emotionally mature than I am. I guess I was just too immature to see past my own insecurities and love someone for who they were. Then I heard this song, watched Chasing Amy, and it gave me some perspective at a much needed time in my life. And I'll forever be grateful for that, for Watsky and Smith. Like the lyrics say, "I don't care, where you've been, how many miles, I still love you."
