This isn’t my favorite episode, but it does have one of my favorite Kevin moments is when Kevin is told to disarm the bomb, he imitated Gwen’s voice followed by “If this thing blows up, I'm never speaking to those guys again” He sounds so done with everything that he’s going through with the trio and it’s hilarious.

How long did it take you to come up with that idea? I genuinely want to know because that is 100x better than a lot of actual AF and UA episodes. Both Albedo and Sunny are recolors of Ben and Gwen, so Greg would be the odd one out. We need a recolor of Kevin too. Or Albedo and Charmcaster, Gwen's actual rival, that would also work. But Kevin doesn't really have a rival, just two mortal enemies and two joke associates.

The worst part is that Sunny, as a concept, is not a terrible idea. A counterpart to Gwen who did accept Verona's offer to shed her humanity and go full Anodite. It could have been a perfect foil, with her having stronger abilities, but lacking in some other human-like way (such as maybe creativity). Just reeks of wasted potential.

My thing with this episode is that (even if it's based on Bewitched) all I can think of is the episode "Sisters" from the Teen Titans animated series. Maybe because it's a 2000s animated action series and therefor the parallels are just easier to see? But the whole "Gwen's 'bad girl' lookalike relative with dark hair visits from her alien homeworld" thing just calls the Starfire/Blackfire relationship to mind for me more than anything else. Plus Sunny making her skin suit look exactly like Gwen is reminiscent of Blackfire trying to look more and more like Starfire as that episode went on.

Ken’s joke is that everyone in his family says he’s so cool and is thought of as this big star of the family, when he’s really just a regular guy. Sunny’s joke is that she is obnoxious and unlikable. As I said before on the character tier list video, I like Sunny, because her personality isn't just "Antagonistic". She's Gwen if Gwen just did whatever she wanted. We see in both Classic and UAF how much of Gwen's life is driven by like schedules and activities planned for her. We see in "It's Not Easy Being Gwen" how much this lifestyle weights on her. Gwen has a lot of people put a lot of expectations on her, and is used to just bottling up her own needs and wants. Then there's this girl who looks just like her, but doesn't care about what her parents or peers will think of her. A Gwen that can do what she wants. A Gwen who's pretty open about her resentment of everyone putting expectations on her. A Gwen who has no expectations of herself, just wants to abuse all this amazing power, have fun, and date a bad boy. A Gwen who didn't deny herself being an ungodly powerful energy being, because she has no attachment to humanity. This and "It's not Easy Being Gwen" feel like packaged deal. This duology of the world just whispering into Gwen's ear "Look how much more happy you would be if you stopped caring about propriety"

I think it's interesting to see an anodite that actually took the decision that Gwen didn't want to take (destroying her physical body to unleash her anodite form). I wonder if her playful/mischievous/sassy personality is a result of her going through that process. Verdona is also a very carefree person that loves to do whatever she wants like her, so that leads me to believe that such personality could be a result of them unleashing the true nature of their anodite forms. After all, many alien species have pretty defined personality traits.

While AF/UA had decent animation it does feel and look a bit bland at times gwen and sunny their face models are literally the same as Ben's only with lipstick. The Omniverse crew pushed themselves and made the animation art style unique, creative and inspiring which in my opinion is good

She's pretty much the Blackfire to Gwen's Starfire. Sassy dark counterpart to the outspoken yet friendly girl, came from her home planet to reason with her relative or just mess with her, and actively macks on her love interest.

Never liked the trope of "Relative who is forced upon the protagonists but is a huge troublemaker/jerk who's entire existence seems to just be devoted to making every one around them more annoyed and miserable." What a boring episode, although I did enjoy some of the Kevin humor. *Ben turns into Lodestar* Kevin: "You sure it's a good idea to turn into a magnet in a particle accelerator?" "Beats me"

Sunny doesn’t even get the character development the trope sometimes provides. Considering part of her conflict is about loving a guy her parents don’t approve of, it’s a big missed opportunity to not give her and Antonio some degree of depth by presenting them as parallels to Gwen and Kevin.

Ultimate Alien would do far better for a Gwen-centric episode with It’s Not Easy Being Gwen. Yes, it’s another cliche premise in superhero has to balance responsibilities but as a character study it works far better and Emily makes for a far better character than Sunny. A Kevin version would be much more preferable over some of the bad filler.

This... strongly feels like the second episode of Teen Titans 2003 titled Sisters. Only not nearly as good. A relative from a far away homeworld comes to visit earth because they get into trouble and make everything worse for their relative thanks to their more "alluring" personality and seemingly better fighting capabilities. Only to get the karma they deserve at the end. Except Teen Titans does it a lot better with Blackfire actually being alluring and interesting while this episode of of Ben Ten just falls flat in every regard.

"Sunny looking like a clone is a reference to bewitched" and BlackFire from Teen Titan being a clone/doppelganger/twin of StarFire. Both are voiced by the same voice actor. and Both has Black and Purple traits/color scheme etc.. Me being a huge fan of "I am you but stronger and smarter" in fiction. It is one of my favourite one off episode. I don't care if it get even low score.

Funny enough, this episode, despite being a reference to Bewitched, honestly is more built like the Teen Titans episode "Sisters". Has a black haired relative come to earth who is better than the red headed relative, and turns out to be running from the law. Sunny is the less impressive version of Blackfire!
