This was Gwen's first solo album. She was the lead singer of one of the biggest bands of the 90's for many years prior called No Doubt. Their music is completely different than her solo stuff. I like both but I prefer No Doubt's music. You should definitely check them out. They have some great classics you will instantly like.

Me personally i loved her going this route but o guess her hardcore fans felt a certain kinda way. Its like when Darius rucker switched to country and got backlash at first but now e everybody loves him.
