When this came out, it was panned by music critics. One of them even said the song "had all the sophistication of a teenage boy's wet dream." But some critics did praised the song's entertainment value; my favourite comment was from Stylus Magazine, who said "it's preventing something far less interesting from being played." Now, almost fourteen years later, this song, and Gwen's visual and personal style, seem like they could find a nice home in 2020. It's interesting to see all the inspirations Gwen drew, and all the artists than drew inspiration from her. I can see a lot of Gwen in early Gaga, Katy Perry, Charlie XCX and Fergie especially, whose debut album "The Dutchess" came out one month after the release of this song.

It´s funny to see in 2015 how this can be a creative music video without being obscence and naked people around as the videos do now.

You do realize that there was just as much ass shaking and stripping going on in 2006, right? This era was literally the peak of promiscuous and "glam" imagery in pop music videos.

People Compare Stefani and Mrs. Stefani (Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani) because Lady Gaga during her first era "The Fame" was basically this entire image that Gwen has right here, glam Pop. It wasn't as cute though, it was more-so shock-valueish. She even said that Gwen was one of her influences (Just like Madonna, an many other artists). That's why they're put in the same sentence. The aesthetic from "The Fame" bridged off of Gwen and possibly other artists for a solid image. They're both talented regardless.

I personally hate this debate but so many say that Gwen just isn't as good, or even worse that she has started copying gaga when time clearly shows the opposite. Just bc gaga is big doesn't mean Gwen has Ever copied her. Truth be told, Gwen actually gets my respect bc she isn't just trying to get bigger and weirder than the previous, she just got inspired.

If she released this today, ppl would cry that the song is abliest cause she says "I guess that they are slow, so they should leave the room" There would be a whole bunch of yelling, crying, and throwing up from everyone EXCEPT the disabled community.

Elijah Elam me and I’m still In shock. She turned into Dolly Parton!! Wtf did she do?? I adore her and Dolly, too...but it’s very sad. She was gorgeous. No need for cosmetic surgery. I don’t hate country music, but...oh well. 😞

I've been a huge fan of No Doubt and Gwen's herself since I was around 9 or 11 years old, yes, you read it right. This woman is just the most fashionista, unique, trail blazer and pioneer from lates 90's until now. It'sashame nowadays people rather some empty and generic artists.
