Agreed. I love Hazelburn 10. The mouthfeel is exceptional, and the pineapple note is so crips. It was the first whisky that really mentally "took me somewhere else". Thinking of beaches and palm trees.

Thanks for sharing, Geoff. Up front a higher chance of encountering bottles in my cabinet as I have more OB from Campbeltown than from any other region. And for the record, as you pointed at me several time, yep, I love Kilkerran HP. I currently have 2 batches (9 and 10) in the cabinet. Slàinte mhath

Cambeltown due to pricing was a difficult itch to scratch until I found an official stockist when visiting Scotland this year. Springbank makes sure they stick to the official list price. Walked out with the SB10 and the Kilkerren heavily peated batch 10. Must check out the Hazelburn and Longrow next time 😊

Pretty much agree with all the above. I have the Kilkerran 16 but not tried it yet. Ive never been able to grab a SB12 in the wild. I tried this time around on multiple stockists but alas not to be. I was lucky enough to get a tasting pack so that will go some way to at least trying it along with the SB21.

I like the kilkerran 16 the most. Its perfect! Campeltown Loch is available in a bourbon an a dirty sherried version which ik like most

I've had a glass of both Bladnoch 11 and Glen Scotia just now, what a coincidence! My Glen Scotia is the 1832 travel exclusive, which is very nice and inoffensively peaty. I'm very happy I went and got one of the 30 bottles of Bladnoch 11 to be sold in my country, lovely stuff!

Another great vid Geoff :) The Bladnoch is 11 is certainly different,.....think 'baby vomit' haha. I added a teaspoon of water & let it sit for 30 mins (ralfy style) , with it improving out of sight.

Out of the 60+ bottles I've got, only 2 are from Campbeltown - Springbank 10 and Glen Scotia Victoriana. I guess my palate isn't refined enough to appreciate the Campbeltown character in general, which is why I don't have many of these bottles. Having said that, I also don't have a lot of experience with Campbeltown, so maybe I just haven't tried enough of them. I do remember trying the Springbank 15 at a past whisky show, and enjoying it quite a bit. Funnily enough, out of all the whiskies mentioned, I'd probably reach for the Bladnoch most of the time. :D Another fun video @Gwhisky!

Nice video, nicer bottles. One of my favourite bottles was a Hazelburn 14 Oloroso, which was sooty AF. It was also delicious. Not sure how the soot got in there as I don't think it was meant to be smoky....I wasn't complaining.

Gonna be the Oddball here, but I have always been sorely disappointed by Springbank 10. Springbank 15 has varied from meh to one of the best whiskies I've ever had depending on batch. Kilkerran and Longrow have always blown me away - some of the best whisky out there. I've yet to ever see a Hazelburn but will love to try it some day!

Preach! I like SB10, but don’t get the hype. It’s very good whisky, but there are many better ones that are easier to find and cheaper. Not sure it’s top 5, might be top 10 for me. Kilkerran Sherry cask is the only Campbeltown spirit I’ve had that lives up to the hype.

Last year in The Netherlands I was able to pick up the Springbank 10 between 60 and 70 euros and the 12 CS and 15 around 130 euros

Really love my Hazelburns: 10, 12 and 15, the last two oloroso cask matured. The Longrow 18 is a masterpiece. Better than the Springbank 18 IMO. Have the Springbanks 10, 12 CS, 15 as well, really great. Glen Scotia Vic is also outstanding(specially the CS). Kilkerrans are also really solid. Campbeltown bottles will always be special to me, as they are really unique and flavorful, full of character and aromas. Slainte!

That angle in the room / set works and the color balance with your camera is better than on the old set. With the ring light you were getting some odd shadows on your face but contrast and balance was good. Without the ring light you had natural looking shadows and good color balance. You could soften the shadows with a diffuse light, but like the image quality better than the old set or the Patreon test set images.

Out of those I've only had the Kilkerran 12, although that has been out of stock for a while now. Springbank whisky is rarely available here and when it is, it is too expensive. Campbeltown Loch was also too expensive when it was available, compared to actual RRP. I think the Bladnoch 11 is sold out here too. Fortunately, there are other good whiskies that are readily available. Cheers!

Sulphur is King! I love all the Kilkerrans. The 2024 Sherry Cask 8-yo is simply amazing. Dare I say I prefer it over the (double as expensive and quite rare) single Cask 15-yo I just bought, which is fully bourbon. I just cannot get enough Kilkerran

Totally on par with you on that Bladnoch 11 yo. I had the 2021 release, beautiful stuff. I regret not buying a backup bottle, when I had the chance... but oh well - I bought another bottle (or 2) instead, so I'll get over it... I think. Cheers Geoff! 🥃

I’ve got a bottle of all listed and to my my fav is the SB12. Really good stuff but as it’s hard to get hold of, I rarely touch it… but the KK 12 is fantastic and easy to get. The Cambeltown Loch is excellent as a cheap, everyday, drinker…. All great though!!!!

I'm lucky to have been able to procure two bottles of Springbank 10 (2017, 2019) and 3 bottles of Hazelburn 10 from the 2019 timeframe. At their current prices, I'll likely never be able to get anymore so these will have to last. Ask me which I prefer on a given day and I'll give you a different answer each time. But I'm leaning towards the Hazelburn 10 which is consistently stellar. Absolutely delicious. My open 2019 Springbank is the most chameleon single malt I own. On some days it tastes like a citrus bomb and on other days the peat really asserts itself.

Very hard to get Sprinbank in South Africa, and seems quite expensive. Seems like the SB10 is selling (when found) at a similar price point to the Kilkerran 8 Bourbon cask and the Kilkerran 16, or I can get the Kilkerran 12 and the Longrow Peated for the price of the SB10.

I have only tried 1 bottle of both the Springbank 10 year and the 15 year early on in my whisky adventures. The 15 easily provided the 'springbank funk' with tasting notes that I now cannot recollect other than it was certainly unique and intriguing. I did not have any kind of memorable experience with the 10. The longrow peated a couple of years ago also will not be re-purchased.

Springbank 15 was the most disappointing bottle purchase of the year for me (~15 bottles). Had been looking for it forever and it was a total sulphur bomb. Maybe just a bad batch....? Kilkerran 12 was definitely my favorite bottle this year though!

Grabbed my SB15 to check and I can’t say I get the sulphur. It is however complex and is the whisky I spend the longest to finish the glass. I will pour a glass this evening, just to be sure 😉

I only have the SB 10 from this list. I am very interested at the Glen Scotia Victoriana. But to be honest I don’t get the hype about the Campeltown whiskies and the SB the is kinda like the posterchild.
