I fixed this by digging a deep hole under the sticky pistons and placing torches at the bottom of the hole. I tested it a few times by exiting and re-entering the game, and the farm doesn't seem to be broken.

Was afk at the farm, came back and both kelp was missing. Replaced the kelp, turned it on and both kelp broke instantly again. Fixed it by breaking the hoppers and composters at the front, and the two sand in front of the sticky pistons was missing, so I replaced sand, put composters and hoppers back and works fine again

If you plant the bamboo on a mud block you can skip the hopper minecart and rail in the collection system, since mud is less than a full block tall ✌️😎

small tip: replace the glass in front of kelp with lightning rods since copper is so common, you can even enter to fix things more easily between them.

Thanks 4 the tutorial. You can swap the bamboo out for sugar cane and then get infinite paper. Also, for the commenters, I figured out that you save one piece of bamboo by turning it directly into sticks instead of by turning it into planks and then sticks, per every nine bamboo.

I have recently found that turning the bamboo shoots directly into sticks is more efficient than turning them into planks then into sticks. It's a slower method, but more efficient.

I get what you're saying since 3 sugarcane gives 3 paper while 2 bamboo gives 1 stick and takes 9 bamboo to make a block of bamboo which then turns into 2 planks and gives 4 sticks while cutting down a few trees will do a little more in the same time it takes to build this and let it run for a little bit but after that it becomes faster to just afk instead of cutting down trees especially if you have more than 1 of these farm

Oh yes ! Best Mc farm Bedrock creator for me ! This works magically, no sand falling down and no kelp broken ! Be sure to turn off farm when leaving the chunks, Cuz if you leave the area, it will break the farm Also make sure to build it under a single chunk ! Its so important that i discovered it when i firstly made it in two chunks, it broke ! So be sure to build it in a chunk, you can find it easily on yt

OK so, It all seems to work but the hoppers aren't collecting the kelp. They will pick up some but there's stacks of kelp not getting collected. I've rest the sand and water but still have the same issue. Anyone with any solves?

this could be due to your water placement. The kelp will create its own water source but even then the game works perfectly. I just built it and I have no issues

I figured out that it because the build has to be inside of one single chunk. If your on Bedrock then here’s how to find a chunk border. Step 1. Find a set of X and Z coordinates that are divisible by 16 (that means when you divide it by 16 it doesn’t have a decimal) and place a block there. Example: (-1376, 144) 1376/16=86✅ 144/16=9✅ Non examples: (-774, 189) 774/16=48.375❌ 189/16=11.8125❌ Step 2. Find which direction makes the X coordinate go up and place 15 blocks that direction. Step 3. Do the same as step 2 but with the Z coordinate. Step 4. Your have created and outline of a chunk and you can build in there.

I extended the working area (the kelp and piston part) from 2 blocks to 12 blocks, and now its efficiency largely increased! But 12 blocks is already the limit because the redstone signal won't reach any further. It should be possible to create multiple parallel bone meal farms. I'll try it.
